    The aspire ones,

A common fault is the fan with these, we had a lot of aspire ones were we had to change the fan then they worked as normal.

You're right. It can be a variable length of time. I sat my netbook on a zalman laptop cooler and it ran for a bit longer.

You can feel the air from the fan vent. It should be an easy thing to check, and rule out. I know someone who put their netbook in a sealed plastic bag, and then in the fridge to cool it down a bit.

The other common problem with the AA1 is the boot up issue needing a bios fix, but in this instance it won't start up at all.

Stecast, my AA1 has been sat in the cupboard with a dead fan for a few months.

Can you tell me the part details for the fan, or where I can source a replacement from ?

    It'd me much appreciated :)
