BSOD on Hibernate, W7, 8GB, SSD

Update: - so far(?!) we seem to be ok - here's what I think made the difference
BTW it is a horrible answer, and I am disappointed with MS that this seems to have been the problem.
When you hit hibernate, Windows compresses the RAM contents and persists it to hiberfile.sys on the HDD
The size of hiberfile.sys is by default 75% of physical RAM size (to allow for compression)
If the contents of your RAM once compressed are over 75% of the physical RAM size, either the machine fails to enter hibernation, or you get a stop error(BSOD) and it all goes pear-shaped (I have seen both symptoms)
You can run a cmd prompt as admin and use powercfg /hibernate /size 100 to force your hiberfile.sys file to be the same size (100%) as your physical RAM
So far (touch wood) this has worked out better at least - for a sacrifice of an extra 2GB of my SSD.
Seeing as most machines ship with hundreds of GB of disk space, and just a smattering of RAM, why this doesn't default to 100% and just swallow it as a part of generic OS bloat I have no idea. It's not like MS are shy about large files.0
