Christmas card expense

Im lucky that all my family live close by and can hand deliver cards, and have a total of 3 to post so no big deal but its the expense of individual personal cards like nephew, grandparents, parents etc that soon adds up. One year I just gave a card from a multipack and no one said anything but when you get personal cards in return you almost feel obliged!Life is what you make it.0

I know exactly what you mean, but in the grabbit section there is a thread for tesco personalised cards for 29p. I ordered all of my family personalised ones on this deal so for 29p plus postage it's not too expensive.PAYDBX 2016 #55 100% paid! :j Officially bad debt free...don't count my mortgage.
Now to start saving...it's a whole new world!!0 -

I'm going to do this at work instead. I think xmas cards are a waste of money tbh.Illegitimi non carborundum.0 -
I send e-cards to those I have email addresses for and only send actual cards to elderly relatives who don't have email and who I won't see at Christmas. I give the money I would have spent on cards and stamps to charity.
I can't be doing with Christmas cards for work colleagues who I see every day. Or people who send a card to my "department"...what should we do - take turns in taking it home every night?
There's a hospice near me that will send out a blank giant card to a business with a collection box. Everyone puts a message to their colleagues in the card and a donation in the box instead. In January, the card goes in the recycle bin and the money goes to the hospice.0
