Morning, I'm adding this as a reminder for when 2015 closes - will reference it in my first post so that I can find it:o
2015
January and February - eat out of the freezer and stocks (moving house is expensive enough, I'm not paying for my tins of tomatoes to travel as well)

Thanks Tilly - you've just made a *ping* connection for me. I was going through my stocks the other day, and thinking that the Jan menu-planner must use up more of them (one or two things getting close to expiry for one thing!), but of course, it's genius to give an even better reason for using things up, because you don't want to pay to move them! I want to move house this year, why not strengthen my goal, by actively eating down stocks to........ 'ease my passage'.......... erm, *ahem* onto the next property, as it were.......
You're a star Tilly - thanks for the inspiration.

Evening, I've finished the port, dried figs and cheese biscuit de-cluttering :T
Now I can have a dry January. :rotfl: I/we spent 5 out of 12 months dry last year and definitely felt better for it.
Spatchcocked chicken with Moroccan spices for dinner tomorrow, served with a cucumber salad and cous cous of some guise or another. I think I'm making some flat breads with zataar to serve with non alcoholic drinks
I have some miscellaneous (odds and sods) food stuffs in the garage and I'm changing the menu plan to use them up. Chocolate cups are going to be filled with HM chocolate mousse. OK, this isn't slimming but I'm not wasting anything and don't need to buy a thing. That's dessert for tomorrow sorted :j
I haven't forgotten to finish my post from this morning but what with hound walking, sleeping and lunch with friends, I need to get my head back in the right place.
Happy New Year once more.
