Errm, can someone raise the alarm or come and get me please. She said she didn't want me for the freezer (some muttering to be heard about saving that for Natty) but she did want me for something else; I've never stopped ironing, cooking and cleaning since I got here and don't even get me started on being forced to count the toilet rolls so the number be added to the spreadsheet:o

    ATT :D
Was that YOU under the tarpaulin when she was showing me her empty fridge :eek::eek:.

Hard to say Gally. hard to say, all I know was there was lots of tarpaulin around and a good few of us there for Tea and Scones. My heads a bit fuzzy but got a vague recollection of a loo roll on a string being waved to an fro in front of my eyes and 'TillyTidies, TillyTidies, TillyTidies' being said over and over again....

  • Morning,

£30.51 TT OP - ok so that's a mahoosive TT - it's the change which Mr T paid into the bank.

I feel a little bereft not making large OPs, given the past twenty months of OPs.

Redundancy is like a black cloud and it's difficult to navigate. Mr T has completed his new CV and is still busy applying for positions. I'd quite like a fairy Godmother to appear and fix everything but the reality is, it's just a hard slog and we could be under the cloud for months. Apologies if that sounds a bit depressing, I don't feel depressed just weighed down. I'm a natural fixer/enabler and I'm aware that Mr T needs to sort this himself. I can see I'll have a very tidy and organised house as I am distracting myself :)

    Have a good day.

Hi Tilly sorry to hear about the redundancy having gone through it recently (vol) I know but when is it ever voluntary to loose your job. Job hunting is hard and it's also worrying for the rest of the family. I had not applied properly for a job for 15 years (headhunted 7 years ago) so well done to Mr T for getting his CV done already.

I was lucky to have so many jobs to apply for even though they were much lower paid. Being MF made s big difference and I can honestly say taking a lower paid job does hurt your pride but its worth it. What I am trying to say it look at this as an opportunity to try something different or even slightly different job wise. It may give skills which can then be used next time for an even better job.

Yes your MF date will move but who cares you are still committed to saving money and being MSE.

All the best and try not to worry too much there will be light at the end of the tunnel.

I too agree wholeheartedly with what TG is saying. I am also in the same boat - gave up a job for another more convenient but less-paid one, but then I take it as a way of acquiring new skills and experiences which will keep me in good stead.

Be optimistic Mrs.T, I am sure your OH will find a better job soon, we are all rooting for you :) and Mr.Greent and Froggy too. (As I prepare to test the waters soon :D)
