  • Hiya Natty, El and Skint Spice, I now have Mr T hunting for Bruno Mars songs so I can hear it :rotfl:

Xmas decs down, boxed and back in the loft
Sitting room and dining room polished, vacuumed

Veg prepared for roast beef and yorkshires this evening - beef from Xmas and frozen in gravy.

Natty, I need to pop over to your diary and check your new stripping hobby - I'm getting slightly worried about the extremes you may be going to, to clear your mortgage :)

TYO, one shred it session complete - thought I may expire but at least it is completed. Slowly slowly but I am also looking at Parkrun thanks to El and SkintSpice.

Pavlov, p90X sounds like a beast so I'll definitely have to work up to that :rotfl:

Natty, kitchen smells like a bread shop - need to avoid going in there, so we're off for a dog walk instead.

Have a good afternoon, Tilly x

oops sorry Tilly but it's a cheery wee song :D I actually asked DS if T90X or 390X (as I thought he sang it) was a euphemism for something else :o turns out school hasn't covered euphemisms so that was fun explaining that one...

Right, I have a few frogs to deal with

Write letter and send a cheque off- complete
    Update spending diary from yesterday-complete
Check if CC is showing cashback yet as it is due in January-not showing yet
Switch two DD to H@lifax so I don't lose the reward money - Mr T doing on Monday as he needs to call them

Dog walk has been delayed by a couple of hours due to DD revising :)

park run was fun , i was very very slow, but thats ok as i now have a baseline from which to work and the only way is up from here... cause lets face it i dont think i could get much slower:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
  • Hi El, I have a friend who has tried to get me to go to Parkrun a few times last year, so I will have a go. I may be walking round more than jogging to start with. I did a fair bit of jogging early last year (sounds familiar) but then I allowed work to get in the way and then got out of the hair. It's surprising how quickly your fitness level drops.

  • Phew! Have just finished reading ALL of your diary Tilly and its brilliant. I have learned so much from you and your virtual friends who have posted! It's really educational but also hilarious in parts - loving the parties, the OP's and the Bieber update!! I having been lurking for a while as I want to try and be MF. We already overpay but it's all the other aspects of sorting out your finances which also make such a big difference.

One question I would like to ask if you don't mind is how do you transfer money abroad for the best rate? We also send money over to Portugal fairly regularly but end up paying the Halifax charge when we do it, so wondered if there is a better way.

Thanks for sharing your journey I shall continue to read your updates. Off now to start on GG's diary if I can find it.

I'll PM you with the details of the company we use for moving money. GG shifts money a different way so it's worth checking with her also.

I can't believe you read the whole diary, you must be extremely patient but glad it has helped.

Start a diary up if you haven't already as it is the best way to stay focussed.

    Best wishes Tilly x

Tilly i walked all of it apart from the first 150 metres which i kinda very slow jogged,

yes it is amazing how your fitness levels fall so fast, but in equal measure it's amazing how much they improved once you get started again.

one of the best things about park run is the price, free is very attractive :)

Caster I tend to book another holiday so I can withdraw cash fee free on Halifax card and pay into bank. Saves me a fortune (apart from the flights, car hire, spends etc :rotfl:).
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
