Wow, that's SERIOUS money
Mucho respect
In preparation for moving to Spain I have been window shopping for my pet, as you know, the plans have changed somewhat. How about this?

Past idiocy cannot be changed (and if it is down to lack of knowledge/ understanding/ realisation, is it really idiocy..?) - and it would only be true idiocy if you continued in that vein once you had realised - we can't change what we've already done, only what we're still to do

Hi GG, when you buy your new pet, buy one for me, that looks easier than two dogs and two cats

I may one day have some money in the bank once the mortgage is gone, OR I may just give up work and sit on my butt :rotfl:
Hi Greent, you are right, but glad we woke up.......eventually.

Can someone remind me why I work full time doing an inordinate amount of work - yep, to pay the mortgage off I know. After today I could easily have walked out, stuffed the mortgage, and just carried on paying until DH retires
Wrong attitude I know but there are some days when frankly the world seems to have gone mad.
Right, rant over, what MF things have we done - well not spent any money on anything, switched some things about in the bank accounts and am having am early night, to make sure I am bright eyed and bushy tailed in the morning. It's global frolics at the moment so best be prepared.

Poor Tilly
. Feeling a bit 'meh' as well, though the bath did me the world of good. I think the weather is really dragging everyone down, making it harder to shrug things off like you usually would do. It's just SO damn depressing
Think of the big picture - it WILL be worth it
.
Repeat after me:
"four years four months
four years four months
four years four months
four years four months
four years four months
four years four months"
Then we can get off this:
and do this:
instead.

Morning GG, what a lovely post to wake up to. Love the smilies :T
I should have had a bath as that would have helped I think. Plus the weather is certainly depressing. I love being outside and am spending little time in the garden. I don't even want to walk the dogs today, which is not a good sign.
Its hard to believe that it's only 4 years and the mortgage will be gone - I get the feeling my brain hasn't really understood that. After having a mortgage since I was 20, of one size or another, I can only imagine the feeling of freedom it will bring. May have to investigate a whole new set of smilies for that one :j:j
Will be reciting my mantra from now on.
Have a good day in the rain - saying that it does look slightly better today.
Best wishes Tilly2004 £387k 29 years - MF March 2033:eek:

Work slightly better, weather just as bad, another NSD and daily interest down to £18 ish - :j:j:j
Will update my signature when my brain is working more.

How do you work out the daily interest?1

I just look at what is charged to the mortgage and divide by 30, not very scientific! But roughly correct. Ours is just under £2 day now, very low as we owe a small amount over a short period, but still annoying, why should I give the bank£2 a day? Especially when I think of the thousands they have taken over the years.
Together we can reduce bankers bonuses!Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D1 -
Hi Dawn, I do it the same way as SSS, probably something more scientific but it is enough for me. Given with the Spanish bank it was £45 a day, the reduction is staggering. I look forward to mine being the same as SSS. Will take me a while but I will get there.
