I am looking to replace my antique mobile and move into a more modern age. I like the look of these two phones and wondered what others thoughts were?

The Wildfire S can currently be had for £130 from Carphone Warehouse (which will be unlocked). The Ace can also be had for £130 from Carphone Warehouse but will be locked to Three. The unlocked one is £200. That might sway your decision if you didn't want to be with Three.

Compare them here. They are essentially going to perform very similarly. The main difference is the Ace has a slightly larger screen.

Been looking at this myself. You can get the Ace from O2 on PAYG for £149.99, with £10 cash back from Quidco. O2 also give you a £20 voucher for a range of retailers at the moment so that might be another option to consider if the voucher is something you can use. The O2 supplied phone should work with Giff Gaff so you can get the benefit of their tarrifs.

They are similar phones (assuming you mean the Wildfire 'S') ... I'd say you won't be disappointed either way. I'd possibly prefer the HTC as a lot of work goes into making them easy to use (HTC Sense).

Just bought the wife a Galaxy Ace, the Wildfire-S was just that bit too small on the screen front.

    Galaxy is an excellent phone.
