Also amazon+argos where you can redeem points for purchases. Not as good as Tesco clubcard but I find there are times when we have to shop at sainsburys so you may as well have the points. I also combine my nectar card with an Amex nectar card which means I double my points

Argos as well I didn't realise I only use it occasionally at B.P. or Sainsbury's & I have an Amex card formerly Airmiles Duo now Avios I was saving for a hotel stay, I need to read up on the changes.

Something else for the to do list :(

life is like a loo roll. the nearer the end you get, the faster it goes.
  • Another good day at W*stw**d Cr*ss in Th*n*t - perhaps things are looking up!

The leaf trays were STILL there - so I took another one - well, it's rude not to at that price!

Then found a lonely Energizer Pocket Light sitting all on its ownsome on the torches shelf near the lightbulbs, so took that as well and it went through at 54p - result!

And then, I only managed to find the Plenty 6 rolls for 92p! They had hidden them on the very top shelf but I managed to knock a couple of packets down.

Moving on to the Bold Rose and Peony - the shelves were empty and also the big display at the end of the aisle - but I looked up and found an unopened box on the top shelf again. This one was a bit more tricky to get down ( no SAs around when you need them!) but I did it and took 2 as I had two coupons for £1 each to use against them - so paid £2.39 for a bottle!

The Kleenex Velvet facial tissues are on offer at £1 a box - normally £1.99. I have a few 30p coupons for them so grabbed a couple of those as well.

Haribo bags of Halloween sweets going through at 1p as previously reported by someone else on this thread - got 3 bags for DS.

There was a display of roasting tins and oven trays and I found some small trays for 44p each - not brilliant quality but for that price who cares?

Colgate Max white toothbrushes are £1 each and there is a coupon for 50p off in the Tesco Xmas magazine so 50p to pay - got 3 of those.

And finally found the Pyrex set of 2 dishes for £3.50 - thought that was a good deal in the absence of the really cheap ones.

I need a sit down now to recover!

You CAN ask - but if I were you I certainly wouldn't ! (You will get a fair bit of grief if you do).

Sorry for the newbie post, but on one of these threads I saw something about kid dress up costumes - is it all the costumes? there are loads in my local express but they are priced at £15 and there is no SS scanner?

Dress-up outfits reported have been Stig (from top gear), Handy Manny, Mr Bump, Ben10 and Fireman (tabard only, not whole suit).
I think there were a few more, but can't remember them at the mo, sorry :o.
    Also some halloween I think
There may be more, but i;m afraid you will prob have to scan them to be sure.
    hth :)

Sorry, there was also something about foxes biscuits for £5......the only ones I saw were for £6 reduced from £12......have they changed it or is it a different product in Scotland?

Foxes selection in cream/purple tin was half price last wk at £5, but now £10.
If sel still shows half price of £5, then these would be free with DTD as they will actually scan at the tills at £10.
I hope this makes sense :)

The foxes biscuits are the same in Scotland - were at half price of £5 but now £10. If your store still has the old SEL of £5 you will be able to claim DTD.
    Whereabouts in Scotland are you?

Thanks, I'll have another look.......I'll try my luck at the till.......worst case scenario is I take them back!!! I did notice a few products mentioned but with no SS scanner I didn't risk it......I'll have to be braver next time!!! :)
  • just got the results from the last 2 weeks worth of receipts in the price checker. aparently they were cheaper than asda on each shop. yes they were because you didnt compare everything, i find it really difficult to beleive that asda dont sell warbitons bread and simply knitting mag. but hey nevermind.
