An older, white haired man walked into a jewellery store one Friday evening with a beautiful young lady at his side. He told the jeweller he was looking for a special ring for his girlfriend.
The jeweller looked through his stock and brought out a £5,000 ring and showed it to him.
The old man said, "I don't think you understand, I want something very special."
At that statement, the jeweller went to his special stock and brought another ring over. "Here's a stunning ring at only £40,000 " the jeweller said.
The young lady's eyes sparkled and her whole body trembled with excitement. The old man seeing this said, "We'll take it".
The jeweller asked how payment would be made and the old man stated, by cheque. "I know you need to make sure my cheque is good, so I'll write it now and you can call the bank Monday to verify the funds and I'll pick the ring up Monday afternoon," he said.
Monday morning, a very teed-off jeweller phoned the old man. "There's no money in that account."
"I know", said the old man, "but can you imagine the weekend I had?"

no seriously we love our pets and dont even want them to get poorly. wilkinsons sell quite cheap dogs chocolate buttons and they are good quality not the ones you would get from a market. my avitar (ollie) loves the wilkinson ones but wont touch the ones from markets. innocent0006.gif

Yet again no time for me to catch up on the thread fully today. Ultra long day at work with THE most backstabbing co-workers who make my work life miserable  Can't wait to get out of that place!

Anyway enough of my moaning I only managed to read the last couple of pages, skimmed everything else in my lunch break. I've only signed in to send huge hugs to celebrate. Will be thinking of you :A Stay strong and focus on yourself and the children, he's not worth your tears.

T's related.....popped to the local near work today, no Galaxy selection boxes and I really can't justify buying any either at the moment with an already full house of chocolate!! :D Dairy Milk 120g scanned at 97p for me too grrr! And I also spotted the Walls cream of cornish 2 litre which was scanning at 87p?! a week or so ago. I remembered cuz I love that stuff!! Well I noticed they've changed the packaging so was shocked to see some of the original packaging today...scanning at £3.87?!!! Typical!!

    Fudge xxxx

I have been there too, wish I could give you a big hug. It does get better I promise. Told myself a million times a day I was so stupid coz I still loved him, that was years ago and I still love him, father of my kids.
I got to the point where I accepted I will always love him, but that I could live without him and I did. I know nothing helps right now, keep your chin up x x

  • Can someone remind me, the £1 technika DVD players have a man on the fron, not the boy, is that correct?

Found loads of the value pink players but they scan at 20 quid. Found a big pile of leaf trays but beep up product recalled so had that swiped off me. Nice lady on SS did try manually inputting the bar code but same result.

Got plenty of dairy milk but now sat in the car park outsiee Tesco and have eaten 2 bars. Wonder if I can take the other 20 back for a refund? lol

Oh I found 2 of the 4.5 tog single duvets at £1.90 apart from that though, nothing much doing.
