sunshinestar101 - When I was pregnant they told me just to take stuff that contained paracetamol and tons of vitamin C (don't remember the name now, sorry). ANd they said that when pregnant your body is stronger than ever and will fight the infection. Hope you're in bed now. Get better soon!

my pregnant body wasn't stronger, in fact my pregnant body almost died...

i started getting heart failure at 32 weeks (it was well before then they reckon but it didn't get picked up until then)... turns out my EF- ejection fraction (the amount of blood being pumped around my body) was 15%. so technically i was 15% away from dying. ended up in hospital for 6 weeks before the baby was born.

then i had another baby too and the same thing happened. not allowed any more. been told if i have another i may not reach their 15th birthday.

anyhoo... my fridge has finally been delivered so i'm getting myself ready to go shopping!!!!!!!

Hi all  Had a really busy few weeks and only had time to lurk occasionaly, glad to see everything is back on track with the chat.

Been looking after OHs bosses puppy while he was on holiday. Long story short, within 10minutes of being in the house, pup jumped up to get a toy, landed awkwardly and started screaming. Called OHs boss to come back and we took him straight to the vet.... xrays showed a really nasty fractured leg :( and had to have a pin and plate put in. Trying to keep a 5 month old pup calm was so tiring. Thankfully he is recovering very well and is back home with his owners now (although I am missing him terribly).

Anyway...I did manage a couple of quick visits to T's and got some of the 4p items - boys bug raincoat, 3 pairs of playboy boxers, 2 pairs of slippers, 2 pairs of tights, 3 pairs of family guy socks, a couple of 1p leaf trays and 2 chuggingtons.
OH got 6 of the Lynx gift sets for £3 each and went to CS with 3 for 2 ad in Tesco mag and got DTD :) so worked out at £1 each :j

    Hey, welcome back MB. :)

Glad the pup is doing ok. :)

  • hiya everyone

    ...
really didnt expect it as brought them at £19 but thought its worth an ask ! so went to electrical counter and said would they minding looking out back as thats where a lady found me one before . teenage trouts went off and came back with one and insisted on scanning it to check price  tried to put them off saying dont worry i can take it with me but no she scanned it ! her eye litterally bulged outta her head !!! and she nudged other trout who said sorry its not on file ..........lies  !!!!! so i said oh ok i will take it to customer service and ask them to find the price then and went to pick it up ! so she back tracked and said oh maybe it scaned wrong i will try again !! oh its £1 and you can have it :j !! she then told me there were no more but her and other trout whispered and scuttled off out the back !!! so sure there are not now !!

i was so annoyed with the lies but thought i should count myself lucky and scarper while i had the chance !! even though i was tempted to see what they returned with !

thank you for the post ( think it was karen ?? ) did thank you at the time too !

good luck everyone and be ready to catch them out when they lie !! x
