    Hi All

Finally managed to get a 4p Boys bugs raincoat today in Blackpool by using the Sefl scanners, there are quite a few left by the way.

I also got the biscuits and was charged £10 a tin but when I went to Customer services they informed me they don't to DTD on self service scanners as I should have noticed the price. My argument was that I used Self service as the checkouts were so busy and I did notice them go through at £10 but assumed that they would be discounted at the end with the B1G1F items etc and that as my 3 year old was chatting i hadn't noticed the total as I went through. I was given it after CS phoned up to the duty manager but it was explained that this was a one off.
Does anyone know if DTD does not apply on self scanners for future reference. Thankyou

Morning everyone, Here's to a good day glitching and lots of lovely 4p finds;) Not working today so going to spend the day trying to catch up with my ironing!! in front of the tv.
    Day 8
Woke up this morning in such a good mood, and remembered I don't smoke anymore. Do you know what? I love not smoking:T:T:T I can't believe I'm saying that, but I do, I feel free;);) That sounds such a cliche but it's true. My sinus is really clearing up, the doctor told me for years that it wasnt being helped by smoking and I didnt want to believe him! My chest (No comments please) feels clear and my wheeze has gone, it wasnt a bad wheeze but I could hear it and this morning my skin is definately looking clearer. If anyone is thinking about giving up, don't give up giving up it's worth it:T but you can't do it till your ready. And I've decided not to worry about putting on weight until after xmas because I can only do one thing at a time. Usually I don't care who smokes in my house but I've decided no one is anymore, so for DS's party on Saturday they'll all have to smoke in the garden and I'll put the outdoor heater on like a pub. Sorry to go on but today I'm feeling proud of myself:p And now I'm on the right road will confess was smoking between 20-30 a day and had been for nearly 30 years:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:I started really
    young;)
Good luck Czerchy with the ciggies today, If I can do it anyone
    can;)

So pleased for you, especially as I am Miss Antismoking big time. Hopefully you will be a big inspiration for DS friends so they can stop while they are young. I wish we could persuade teenagers not to start in the first place. Sermon over :)

My local won't give DTD on self scan purchases either and this seems to be a growing trend. Its easy to see why they are saying it and to be fair to Tesco it does make some sense.

Having said that, my OH contacted HO recently about a refusal to give DTD for a double scan. While on the phone HO were asked to clarify the criteria for DTD. OH was told the only exception was if a person double scanned their own item on a self scan, all other eventualities should result in a DTD refund!

I think we all know however that its not an exact science!

  • Hello fellow bargain hunters

I really want to go get myself some biscuits, mainly for the hampers I wanted to do for my mum and the MIL, I have very little for them so far, at this rate they'll have to be for next year :)

Spent my morning cleaning, including cleaning the filter and change of water for fish tank, bought a fluval outer filter ages ago, daren't tell how long its been and first clean done...poor fish.
Then I dared to enter daughters room, she is 11, picked up some rubbish, cleaned floor, she is so messy. My little 1 year old trouble maker woke up while I was trying to clean the floor, so while I cleaned she made more mess :rotfl: really not looking forward to injections, 4 hours to go.

Forgot to share that my tumble dryer stopped working last night, so someone is coming to look at it today, but i think it is the motor gone and either way it's another expense I could do without. May have to go back to hanging clothes all over the house.

Sorry for my rambling, would go mad at home just me and baby everyday, at least feel like I'm talking to someone, even if noone replies. Hope you all have a good day x

Yay!! Night shifts done so back to normality for a few days :))) Just got back from my local tesc*'s Hemsw*rth and am pretty pleased with myself. Used a few coupons so got a £15 shop for £10. The large tins of spam are on offer at £1.50 (small are £1.49) and there is a voucher floating around for BOGOF. Also bought 3 of the wrights ciabatta bread mixes that are 75p each but used 30p off coupons and the 3 for 2 kicked in so got them all for 90p. Another thing I found cheap was frozen crushed ginger (20 small cubes). Says Dorot on the packaging. Was only 37p and said same on SEL. Seems cheap as the chilli version was £1.50. It's near the frozen veg. Happy glitching day everyone.

    Rebecca x

My two  spam BOGOF vouchers ran out last week

  • Unfortunately the SEL is £10 at my local this morning :(

Hmmm, the SEL was £10 at mine too, but then I walked further down the aisle and there was another load in a crate thing that showed the offer.

Also noted that the Cadbury's gold selection is now on offer at £5.50 (half price). But then about two feet away from that promotion, there were loads in a crate that said £5?? I checked and they were scanning at £5.50 so put them back.

No 4p scarves for me though :(

The big tesco in Marton has 6 self scanners at the end of the checkouts nearest the doors.
