  • And yes Tesco knew about it. However, if they wanted it broadcast, theyd have organised a market campaign around it. Think of all of us that has gone to tescos purely for the glitches, then bought other little buts to pad shopping out, things that we wouldnt normally have bothered about. Increase that with the strength of a marketing campaign, and Tescos would have made even more cash.

Nope, it would cause an absolute riot! Look at what happened when Tesco did the £1 clothing sale recently. People banned from stores, punch ups in the aisles and people grabbing trolley fulls of stuff.

Can you imagine the mayhem if they broadcast to the general public that they have an instore sale of shoes and dressing gowns etc for 4p each? It'd be like walmart with people getting shot! :rotfl:

Tesco top brass are very cute here. They have warehouses full of stuff to shift and KNOW they have a savvy clientelle (they read places like MSE all the time afterall) and so quietly let this stuff dribble out for pennies. Have you ever considered how sooo many things scan for 4p but DO NOT show up as 4p for price integrity ticketing???

The top brass don't care if the staff squirrel it away, if the customers 'find' it, or if the managers have it auctioned for charity, provided the old stock is all disposed of and all done low key so Tesco do not have to acknowledge loads of UNSOLD OLD STOCK then they are happy.

Tesco clothing online carries new stock lines hence why there are no 4p items there.

Come on, its not rocket science! ;)

You are the exact reason why lurkers do not want to post on this thread. I offered my finds of the trays and socks and just get slated for it anyway. I did not feel the need to get trays or socks ..... I am not greedy and left them for someone who wanted them or needed them.

The scarves just struck me as a nice gesture for a charity shop with Christmas coming up.

I'm sorry if you don't agree with my philosophy .... But do I care ? NO.

And who the hell are you judge what's right or wrong ? GOD ?

I am in no way a reason why lurkers do not post on this thread.

People join in, or they don't, as with anything involving other people, spoken word or written.

LMAO! I only started calling mum 'mammy' after watching 'Mrs Browns Boys'.

And just :rotfl::rotfl: about trying to get in to people's knickers!:rotfl:

The couple of times I've seen you write 'mammy' all I can picture is Mrs Brown with the waxing strips under the stairs!

  • Hi Guys

I hope you dont mind me joining in. A while back I really use to be in MSE. I'm not sure if you remember but we had a really good BOOTS thread with a strong community, I was soo into that thread. However as in this thread the problems started and then we were closed for good. Everytime we started a thread if would get closed down.
I am not a big TESCOER but sometimes read this thread. It would be a real shame if the same was to happen here.

I re registered just to say what I think. I hope you dont mind:o:o:o

PS if I see any Tesco bargains I will let you guys know.:A:A:A

    Evening
Just emailed uncle phil (lol) and cs re the 342 on the vaseline lip tin not being honoured as per their advert in the current magazine
We shall see what happens........... I did already call cs but they said they are not one of the stores offering 342 so I asked which stores were but they couldn't give me that information hmmmm I bet they couldn't !!!!!!!!
Will update you all on this when I know anything but I am sure I will win hehe as I think it's false advertising if nit!
    Xxx

Someone may have beaten me to it & I posted this last night, the way the ad is worded & I don't have it in front of me, its not selected stores it says something like not available in all stores, its the fact that some stores eg smaller ones couldn't offer it because they don't stock gift sets.
