  • I'm with you but I am sure it will all get back to normal in a day or two. Nice to meet you, IYKWIM. I'm looking forward to sharing my first findings, which may take a little time as I only shop once a week at Tesco :(

gotta say i only decided to join in with this group because of how friendly every one seemed to be with each other, over the last few days i have witnessed, strong bonds, caring, sharing, and much love within this group. But tonight it almost seems unwelcoming:(
I do hope not every one is going to disappear from here, some of your banter has really made me laugh:rotfl:
At the end of the day we are just looking to save a bit of money, otherwise no one would probably be on here in the first place:o
I intend to stay and share any thing i find with any body who wants to know,
i just hope in the morning, its all back to the normal chat and laughs that i have grown to love :kisses3:

Completely agree, not sure what's going on as I've not read any back posts for the last 24 hours just this page :( Not sure if I should bother if it's just bickering.
  • Off to bed now, as i have a very lively 1 yr old who likes early mornings, where i would just love a lie in

    Night, night all x

Just back in, had a lovely night with an old friend who's more like a second Mum to me but I was getting texts all night from one of the family who lives at the other end of the country almost starting an argument with me, not looking forward to sorting that out tomorrow.

If anyone is still up I need a BIG hug, okay if I can find out where I was up to this afternoon, I'm going to catch up with everyones day. I hope there's a new 4p boxers pic from Mr March.

    Good Evening,

I have been looking at MSE for a while now and like many others and am rather disheartened by the apparent "ownership" some of you feel you have over people who do not post on this site.

I believe and am 100% certain that this site is free and anyone can view it. Indeed anyone can purchase any item from any store, all you need is the money.

It appears that quite a few people who post on here are transfixed by their own self-importance and think they are some sort of higher being. Bitterness is an incredibly divisive and soul destroying mental approach to any situation.

Given the current financial climate everyone is looking for a bargain.....

I took great please in visiting the tesco Long Eaton a recently after seeing a post on scarves. There were loads at 4p. The person posting seemed to be trying to pass a coded message to their friend without letting everyone know about this "glitch". While in store i saw someone else (obviously an MSE viewer) looking for the same thing as I was so we helped each other. She bought some scarves for her family and i bought the rest. All 27 of them. I propmtly then took them to the local cancer charity shop and gave them all away. The gobsmacked person on the counter just stared aghast as she looked at the tags and new labels. Hopefully the money raised will really help people with genuine need rather than total greed.

I intend to continue to do this....Because I Can!

For those of you who continue to perpetually whinge and think you are some kind of higher being because you post on a thread have no god given right to think you are the only people in the world who have the right to "engorge" yourselves in glutony

    Your truly

    Because I Can...and I Will :)

This is quite clearly aimed at me. I said that all the scarves had gone, taken by a lurker. To me it felt like they were all simply cleared by one person. I had no idea there was someone out there going round buying them for charity. I wish to apologise to you, and thank you for what you've done. I feel quite sick reading this.

I am signing off for a bit now, I'm not usually a person to do bad things but this feels bad to me..... Good night all

The scarves are all yours ! I've done my feel good deed for charity this month.

Ok i've finally caught up and read all of your posts now. I was just going to ignore you but i'm afraid I couldn't.
You may think that what your doing is a nice thing by giving items to charity, but it is quite clear from your posts that you are doing this purely for self satisfaction and nothing else.
I myself have founds lots of items. This is thanks to all the lovely helpful posters on here that like to share both their finds and their experience. This is also because I have put a lot of time and effort into the chase and in fact have visited aprox 12 different stores, many of which on numerous occasions :D
I in turn have tried to post my finds and help other mse'ers as best I can.
I will pick up anything that I find that is of use to me, my family, friends and other mse'ers.
I will also pick up things that I think may be of use to charity of which I currently have 2 boxes of pet stuff for 2 of my local animal charities. I just do not feel the need to boast about it just to make myself feel good.
If you are so lucky to be in a situation where you are not scrimping to survive, then I think you'll find that your local charities would prefer you give your time to help them by fundraising or volunteering rather than giving them things.
Ok I've wasted far too much of my time now responding to you, I've made my point and given my opinion, which you are free to take as you want, but it will remain my opinion, which as I'm sure you will agree I am entitled too. :)
A clinically depressed person with a sleep condition. I'm in my own little world, but it's ok the people like me here ;)
Any offence is not intentional, I'm really quite harmless :o
