morning all, seems like they we're scanning the individual barcode on a pack of 4 rather than the pack of 4 barcode so technically stealing....

I dont think the Savana Cider is actually a glitch in that sense. If you scan the box of cider barcode on the bottom it comes up with £3.99, However the individual bottles also have barcodes and if you are lucky to have a box with an individual barcode on display and were to go through self scan it would be £1.

You are effectively using the wrong barcode and getting it to scan as individual barcodes rather than box barcode so wouldnt take the pi$$.....

I tried it last night and thats what the SA told me as she scanned the wrong barcode and then altered it.....

I agree with those who have posted to keep this thread as it is i.e. no summary on page 1.

Whilst I know I dont post as many as some on here (it takes me so long to catch up !) I think this thread is indeed 'special';)

Yes I know that ultimately we are all looking for bargains but this thread is so much more than that.

A T free day for me as I had such a disappointing day yesterday...found absolutely nothing!

If you were to scan the individual bottle on ss (cider glitch) the till would reject it as its the wrong weight, prompting an assistant to override the till, most likely it would be spotted.
