  • They went with songs to the battle, they were young. Straight of limb, true of eyes, steady and aglow. They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted, They fell with their faces to the foe. They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them.

    LEST WE FORGET x

early trip to t's today managed to get 4 rolls of plenty k.towel marked at £1.84 scanning at 92p i even used 2 50p vouchers. the cs at self scan noticed the price and shouted to her mate hey these are only 92p do you want any, well variouse shouts later and they must have cleared the shelves (sorry mogchops). 2 more 1p trays loads left. £2 teapot reduced from £10. also had 2 loaves of hovis home bake, hovis had emailed me 2 vouchers to try free so cs took the cost of them off -£1.59x2 but there was also an offer on 2 for £2 so a further £1.18 was taken of my shopping. i went in the 1st place to check out the bikes and get petrol, well no £9.50 bmx and i forgot the petrol.

Morning all. Got a shocker of a couple of days coming my way. Is my girl's birthday party on saturday and thought that there'd be two of us sorting things out. However, the other half is stuck in bed saying that he has the flu. Which means its all down to me effectively.

Have no idea how I'm going to manage to pull things together. Especially as I agreed to look after a friend's daughter tomorrow as well. Thought it would keep my girl occupied whilst we got on with things. Am really praying that is the case. Because otherwise I'm in some serious trouble.

Mental list for today: make cakes, get sausages, bread, pizza and juice. Get out pastry for my pinwheels, tidy house (because oh yes we have visitors on sunday), sort school things for Monday. Oh yes and get party bags all ready.

Saturday is manic: get friend's daughter, sort rest of food (sarnies, make pinwheels, cook everything else), get keys to hall, set up bouncy castle, blow up squillions of balloons.

I don't think I've missed anything. Oh yes, sort out clothes for my girl for tomorrow, and for her party. And get a nice badge with 5 on it, as the card shop I went to didn't have any. Grrrrrr

And somewhere in there I have to actually eat something, and make sure my girl eats something too.

Edit: Ahhhhh got to get the party music ready too.

Can I borrow some of people's scarves? With the aim of binding and gagging a bunch of 5 year olds tomorrow. Would solve the problem (and yes I'm joking)

Think they've only gone to £4.50 in my local - they are saying half price - but thats how much they were in the first place! Hope you find some scarfs. I really want the £6 knifes but nowhere to be seen near me

    Oh well
I must admit I got 2 lots of knives one for me and one for my mum last week sometime
And they are well worth getting very sharp!
Good luck finding them - mine were with other kitchen clearance and not the other sharp life sets if that helps

    Hi everyone !

Back from 2 weeks hols ... seems like you've all been having fun ;) :rotfl:.

Managed to get to a store yesterday and picked up one of the turtle baby playcentre things for a nice DTD. I've been reliably informed that they've now been un-stickered .

Will pop in later for a look at the scarves .... might wander over to the bikes if I dare !

rchddap1 hope all goes ok for you. Maybe get the little ones to help in some way? Happy birthday to your daughter :bdaycake: :D
