I went to a different T's tonight (trying to find the elusive dressing gowns..... given up on the PJ's ) and whilst there I bought 3 gift sets. I realised that I hadn't received 3 for 2 so went to CS. "We aren't doing that offer now, it's changed to half price and 3 for 2 is only for stickered items" said the SA. "You never had any stickers on the gift sets" I said. "Well perhaps we don't stock the ones in this advert then" she said. I argued that it clearly states in the magazine that the offer states any gift set and runs from 1st November until 3rd January (IIRC). Long story short, she calls down the manager who took nearly 10 mins to come down and then spent over 5 mins flicking through the magazine (random pages, not just the offer page) before informing me that he can't understand why they would print the dates in the magazine because the offer has now changed to half price! I pointed out that the advert didn't state "not to be used in conjunction with any other offers" (or words to that effect) but he just said sorry, they are not 3 for 2. He then stood and tried to work out what would be cheapest, getting 3 for 2 or getting 3 half price..... he said you probably wouldn't be better off getting 3 for 2 anyway ...... to which I replied that I obviously would because I should be getting 3 half price gift sets for the price of 2 half price gift sets! Anyway, he wouldn't budge.
