On the stopping smoking subject...I stopped when I found out I was expecting and have managed to stay clear of the habit since- best thing I ever did. For me the greatest thing was how much my sense of smell improved. Also how much better my clothes smell now!0

I've got a splitting headache, wonder if it's nicotine withdrawal?
Nikki the headache is nothing.... wait for the paranoia to kick in after about day seven. You'll start coughing and then find little smears of brown in the stuff you cough up. Your paranoid mind will tell you its because you have a terrible disease and you'll start to panic so much you'll get chest pains that will only confirm you are seriously ill.
Then two weeks later and you feel better, paranoia has subsided and you start to feel great!
Stopped on May 1st but had one crafty roll up on Bonfire night.0 -

No not yet, but do you know what? I just feel so determind to do this and it's really strange but it's the money part that's spurring me on. I just can't believe what I've been wasting. I'm putting £7 a day in a pot so have £14 since yesterday. How can I save money at T's and then "burn" £7 a day:eek::eek::eek: Something has clicked massively in my little brain;)Beware!!!! I like to think I am. But not fancy stuff, I prefer basic food cooked to its best. I only buy organic/cruelty free meat and like to support farmers markets.
I like the science behind food which means I enjoy making my own butter, yogurt etc. I'm getting into Sous Vide at the moment, which means cooking on a low heat for sometimes up to 72 hours (think Heston Blumenthall 72 hour burgers) Anyway I better shut up about this blooming mince before the thread gets renamed Ang's cookery club!0 -

He looked for everything off my list and went thru ss with 3 1p trays, what a guy, he'd usually tell me to bog off. and now hes off to the 2nd storeThe art of being happy is to be satisfied with what you have0

You ought to consider investing in a thermal cooker. VERY MSE. It continues to cook your food with no electricity etc. it just uses residual heat that is preserved in the thermal outer pot.
Think huge thermos flask in the shape of a stock pot!:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A
