Anyone know if you can freeze cheese?
Fancy getting 3 blocks tomorrow but unless I can freeze it I'm worried I'll just chomp it all too quickly!life is like a loo roll. the nearer the end you get, the faster it goes.0 -

I've left it on the side for a few hours (as I do with any meat to come to room temp) its bearing up ok!
PMSL, you'll be poking it next to see if it still moves!!!!
Just get it in the frying pan! Fry it off then bung it in the lasagne........what time do you want me round for tea?0 -

Why when this thread has expired is it still being used for deals to be posted on it? Surely there is a new thread now? At the moment there seems to be about three regular Tesco threads going and for those of us who don;t have all day, every day, to sit and look through them for deals it makes life very complicated!
****Is this meant to sound as bad as it actually does???? This thread is for nattering, deals, Ear problems, marital issues, not just a list of deals, therefore here, out of the way of others, is a great place to be ***
Second, why do people keep obscuring the store names. Surely it means that someone doing a search to see if anything has been found in their local store can't do so?
***yes it does mean that people doind a search struggle. Thats the idea. Deals may last longer if Mr T cant find them ***
Finally, bear in mind those who are cheerfully using the instore wi-fi to search out some of the DTD deals, chances are that as Tesco will have your browsing history, they could feasibly use this to prosecute for fraud! Whether they WILL or not is another question, however, considering some of the tales of people knowingly making hundreds of £'s by this method it may prove worth their while. Of course, they may go down the line of simply blocking MSE being accessed through their wi-fi!
***Fraud????? How so??? Its using a tesco pricing policy, as directed by them. Not all DTD's are nationwide or uniform. If they were that bothered, they wouldnt put self scan machines in stores***

Right gang i've done it... Browned the mince and its cooking away!
What i'm going to do is put the mince/tomatoes/onions etc in the slow cooker for a few hours as we arent eating until 6pm. Normally I prepare it and leave it on the side for the flavours to infuse before cooking but i'm thinking that may be too risky. The slow cooker will keep it at a high enough temp for a few hours, hopefully long enough to destroy anything bad, then prepare just before cooking.
I love this thread, its like having a load of mates who tell me everything!0 -

jumblejack wrote: »Essexhebridean, this is primarily considered to be a chat forum for Tesco addicts. The previous thread title made this clear but we have had a new thread recently and the title is a little unclear.
It is a helpful little community that all are free to join in.
A lot obscure the store names to prevent Tesco staff checking the threads for their store references.
Lots of threads get moved so folk here share any titbits they find from other threads and sites for the rest.
For many it is their one stop shop.
Hope this helps.0 -

Maybe the OP could supply us with their mobile number and we can update them by SMS everytime we find a new glitch so they don't have the terrible task of reading through our banter?
Better still, can the OP let us know precisely what sex they are, what their body measurements are and what their food tastes are, oh and their family history too so we can make sure no 'useless' glitches get SMS'd to them. :rotfl:0
