Pampered Chef?

Do people do Pampered Chef just by holding parties? or are you able to do brochures through doors if you aren't comfortable doing parties? I'm very happy in the Company i'm with which has lots of different ways to retail the eco-friendly products so there is always at least one or two ways people feel comfortable and if they try one way and don't like it theres other ways to try. What happens if someone joins Pampered Chef and then found out they really didn't like doing parties?

You can get sales from doing catalogue drops, but it is a lot of work and parties are easier and more fun! If it is not for you, you can walk away after 6 shows if you go for the £110 kit or 4 shows if you get the £60 kit x0 -
I was so worried about getting involved in PC as I had heard lots of negative stuff about PP and sales is not my background - I am a teacher. But I decided I would give it a go 'cos you never know what these things are like until you try them. I was in a bad place as some crappy things had happened to me and my self esteem was on the floor. I just wanted to get out a bit more and I am so pleased that I went for it. The boost to my self esteem is better than any free product or commission I get. I like getting out and meeting new people and always get good feedback - I am not pushy and if people don't want to buy that is fine. It has been the total opposite from what I thought it would be. Everyone gets on so well even thought we are all in different teams - there is none of that catty competitiveness and I have made so many lovely supportive friends.
Everyone is really respectful of each other's businesses too which I like. I have got so much free product which is one of the reasons I joined, commission and some holiday vouchers - no company car!!!! PC don't do that!!! And I don't have a very big team - the recruiting side is not the be all and end all for me - all the people on my team have approached me. I do it 'cos I like socialising and like the opportunity to earn money in the evenings when I don't have to worry about childcare. Not having to do deliveries is a bonus too!
I spend very little time prepping which is good too. I get on average two bookings a show and deliberately over book my diary as postponements are inevitable. However, I get a good rapport going with my hosts so if they co postpone it is due to a very good reason such as family problems etc. I do about 8 shows a month.
It is not for everyone, but I love it and I think until you see what PC is all about it is difficult to know how good they are and how well they look after you.

I'm still in my first few months of Pampered Chef and have had good sales so far which equals good commission. However when you factor in all of the legwork you do beforehand and all the prep, it brings the hourly rate down a fair bit. I love Pampered Chef and will definitely keep doing it. It's true what they say - you'll get more out the more you put in. Best of luck

Stick with it, it does get easier and you get into a routine so things like packing your kits takes minutes as you are on auto pilot. I also have got my host coaching down to 5 mins so that helps! x0 -

And to be honest why would you join PC if you didn't like doing parties? You have to go for something that works for you and if you know that doing catalogue drops is more your thing that you would go for that wouldn't you? YOu have to do your research and go for product that you are enthusiastic about as you can't seel it if you don't love it and go for a method of selling that suits you. x0 -

I don't think anyone really knows what they do like doing until they have tried it. Its like my daughter has always wanted to be a hairdresser but when she actually did work experience at a hairdressers she realised that actually it wasn't what she wanted to do for reasons she hadn't thought about until she tried it.
I've recently done some makeup training and its amazing how different it feels doing someones makeup is to doing your own and i didn't expect it to feel like that so i think its always good if Companys have several different methods of retail for people to try.
Are there many men doing Pampered Chef as i know lots of men who love cooking..........my hubby included
