I notice there have been a couple of recommendations for Dell in this thread. Well, I can understand that up to a point... they're often the cheapest, and when their gear works it's fine.
However, if it fails - and I'm not saying it's any more likely to go wrong that anyone else's - you'll experience the deep, deep joy of the oxymoron that is Dell after sales 'care'. I have personal experience of this and my advice is don't touch Dell with a bargepole. Their stuff is cheap, but if it breaks be under no illusion - you're on your own.0
