They both use downloadable Java apps (which are free and work on most mobiles nowadays) to send your texts via your GPRS / 3G over the internet.

They both charge the same - 3 euro cents (about 2p) per text. You have to pay up front but the minimum is 100 = 2 quid

The credits never expire unlike some bundles that operators offer.

You have to pay for the data, which in the UK will come to a fraction of a penny per text.

I find them especially handy when abroad since roaming prices for texts can be 40 - 50p each. You do get charged more for data but even if you're on Orange and you're overseas, in say Dubai where they want 25 quid a meg, it still works out at about 7p per text.

Also they both work out very well fo texting foreign mobiles as most international networks are the same price to text as the UK. A few cost 2 credits = 4p

MobiSMS lets you send delayed messages that turn up at a later time/date while smsbug lets you enter numbers straight from your phones contacts list and lets you top up from your handset. Both also let you send from their websites, it's much easier to type on a keyboard.

They both work well and messages are normally received as quickly as if you'd sent them normally.
