Glad work has picked up for you must be a relief.

No Kerri, I have silly crazy rush around like a blue a£s£d fly weekend planned. But ........there is a remote possibility that Mr PG has Sunday off of work and if so we will take the girls to London for an Art exhibition that will come in handy for DD1 and her GCSEs as the artist she is studying is exhibiting there . Fingers crossed we will make it as it finishes on Sunday xxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

This is the letter sent to us by the DCA collecting on behalf of THEM.
If I am honest I am sending letters backwards and forwards to them in an effort to stall them while we try and get the last little bit paid off, so we are still paying THEM directly. We have disputed the amount the DCA say is owed in the meantime and I have also asked THEM for a letter confirming that the account has been passed to CCS before we enter into any agreement or agree to pay CCS instead. I have not received this letter. The latest correspondance from CCS reads as follows:-
Re Amount due to THEM - £5606.49 (£3590 as far as I am concerned !)
With regard to your recent HMRC payment claim, we are unable to refer your query to our client without the following information -
Payment Method
Payment Amount (0000.00)
Payment Date (DD/MM/YYYY)
Ref Number
Period Payment made for
Debit Card Authorisation Code
Cheque no, sort code, account number and date the cheques were cashed.
Please can you provide the information as requested above within 14 days ( letter dated 18 June, I received on the 26th) If you fail to do so we will have no option but to continue with our collection process.
Is this me, but surely if THEY have asked CCS to collect, why are CCS asking me for the reference numbers etc. I am not prepared to provide them with my account details and details of each and every single payment made to THEM. Surely they go back to THEM, and ask them for an update of the amount owing and its as easy as pie. THEY can then hopefully confirm exactly what is outstanding and confirm that we are still paying and we will all be happy ?Or is that too simple ?
Any thoughts much appreciated pleasexxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

G'day PG
I go with the simple thing too, surely they should be getting that information from THEM and as for giving out your account details, two fingers to that .
Obviously not much help but I've not had to deal with anything like this.

Thanks Alioops and it is a real help, dont be daft ! It is always great to get another opinion Sometimes I wonder if I am getting to immune to these things and have developed a bit of a careless approach at times. I suppose its better than them freaking me out as they did back in the day though. All logic says to me ask THEM for that info and not me. It cant be that difficult !LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Extraordinary letter...surely to claim they have to prove their case?!! Not ask you for the evidence...and THEM are paying for this service..blimey
Anyway am a bit rusty on my debt collection procedures;) ( and how to negotiate around them!) so you will no doubt get some good advice shortly...have you stalked EE??;)

:rotfl::rotfl:A team of Brizzle boys might be a mighty fine treat for a rainy Friday night !
Just got home and for the first time in months its just me and my girls. I don't have any of their friends making camp around my house, it seems strangely quiet ! . We are going to watch a nice movie that we haven't seen in ages. Princess Diaries appears to be the top choice at the moment, all snuggled up in our PJs with a nice glass of wine. Thats me, obviously not the girls, they can have apple juice !
I am getting pretty good at the whole DCA procedures malarky now, but this letter was a first for me. I will post my response tomorrow but I thought I would pop the letter up hear to see what others made of it ! No I haven't stalked EE as she tends to have a knack of popping up as and when her excellent advice is required. Funnily enough I finally found her diary today, not sure what took me so long !
Right that's it from me for now, off to dust down the DVD and pour the PG xxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !
