New Mobile Phone Contract
We are looking at a new phone contract and want to go for the Samsung Galaxy S II Black.
From the mobile phone comparison tool on this site, the most affordable with internet bolt on is an offering from affordable mobiles for the phone, £20.42 per month on T-Mobile, with 300 minutes, 300 texts and 500MB internet usage.
(Can't post link as I'm a new user but easily accessible via the mobile-phones extension to moneysupermarket.com, click on Samsung Galaxy SII Black and then its the second deal on the page)
On the face of it this looks like a great deal. Anyone else used this company for a new mobile contract? Anything to watch out for? Or is it a genuinely good deal?

If it's a cashback deal definitely avoid. You obviously don't know that much and you will be swimming with the sharks with them. Look up the (albeit sparse) feedback on them on here.0

Thanks for the feedback.
It's not a cash back deal - on that basis, what else do I need to worry about?
I had a look to try to find some threads about the company on this site but couldn't find any - would u be able to link me to them?
Many thanks0 -
This was the link I used (2nd contract)

This definitely looks like a great deal... will seriously consider ordering this one in the next couple of days.0

I placed an order with affordable mobiles after seeing this deal posted on HUKD a couple of weeks ago. If you place your order before 7pm it will be delivered to you the following day, according to their website. After a couple of days I received an e-mail to say the phone was OOS. Not true! It was still being advertised on the website as in stock. They wrote again saying more stock would arrive by friday. On the friday they sent me another e-mail saying the phone was still OOS! I have cancelled the order now as I know I am never going to get it! Has anyone actually been lucky enough to get this deal?0

I ordered one from them on Wed last week. I think it said 7 days delivery. It was an O2 offer I went for, as I don't get good 3 or Orange signals where I live. £25.50, 300 min, unlimited text and 1GB data, which suits my planned usage. £60 cashback from TCB has tracked. No word from them yet, except the initial order confirm email. Starting to feel a little uneasy as I did an internet search and there appears to be numerous reports of phones never being delivered! (Why always after placing the order!! Thought as they are on moneysupermarket then they must be OK.) Might give them a ring and find out when I will get it. I will report back. If I start to get strung along I will just cancel the order.
My wife ordered an iPhone 4S at the same time from mobiles.co.uk and it was delivered on Friday.
Edit: OK, phoned affordable up and the phone os out of stock. estimated the end of the week for more stock, but no gaurantee. I take that as a stock position and probably no reflection on the reality of when the next delivery is due!! Off to look at alternative supply routes!0 -
I have now cancelled my my order with affordable mobiles. Credit where credit due, they did this without fuss and sent an immediate email conformation.
I have instead ordered the same phone on O2, but with 200 min, unlimited text and just 500MB data. This was at a lower price of £21.50, with £39.99 for phone, so over £50 less than the last offer, but £40 less cashback through TCB. So really not a lot of diference overall! This was from dial-a-phone, who confirmed that they do have stock and are expecting to get the phone to me by the end of the week. We shall see!0
