Parking eye PCN

Someone at work has received a PCN in the post from parking eye for not buying a ticket at a local retail park for 31 mins it was addressed to the company as it was done in a company car.

He should have paid a £1 but didn't notice it was pay and display the parking eye muppets want £80!

Is it procedure to file in b for bin?

Thanks

Ignore and file under bin is correct, however make sure the company know the SP as well!

Exactly. Ignore the numerous threats in pseudo-legalese. I routinely ignore threatmail from this outfit.
Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!
  • Thanks guys.
  • Make sure your employer does not IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCE WHATSOEVER slash your wage and make payment. If they dare to do this, have them at the Employment Tribunal for Unlawful Deduction of Wages. Yes you can do this whilst still employed.

If there are problems there, tell your employer to name you and once you get the nonsense from ParkingSpy landing on your mat, happily ignore.
  • I've read the original post again. Sorry, you were referring to another person. Either way, the advice I gave still applies, please tell your colleague, thanks.

A lot depends on how clued up the company Fleet Manager is and whether the car is leased. Check out the links I gave in that thread if it's a lease car or if the company get shirty about all the letters and threats.

Action needs to be taken now, up front, if the driver thinks there's any chance at all that the Fleet Manager or Lease Co. may just pay the fake PCN. They have zero reason to do so but IMHO it's best to show them the legal position now, and for your colleague to make it clear he won't be paying if they fall for the con.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
