  • Tried to get the choc today and was told they'd sold out.
I thought it was till 14/02, maybe it was while stocks lasted?

There always seems to be a fixed number of things they give away and they do run out before the date stated-that's what I've found.

I posted about the puzzle at WH Smith, but by the time I actually got there to get one, it had finished as the number of codes used had been reached (the shop still had the puzzles but I couldn't get a code to get one!).

Got the most wonderful card in Smiths today!
  • I'm amazed that O2 continue to run this promotion with the amount of technically non-O2 customers using the app, and doing things like uninstalling and reinstalling to get the promotion more than once, which is against the T's & C's.

As a genuine paying O2 customer I am beginning to wonder when I'm going to lose this perk which I pay for because of the people abusing it.
:j Comping on & off since 31/08/12
I comp for fun... and to kill the boredom!

I think the problems of installing and uninstalling are to do with the type of phone, my husband (who is an O2 customer) can't download the app because for some reason they don't do it for windows phones, there was a way of fiddling with the apps to get it but it looks like that's gone now so we lose out on stuff he could get. I know you can do it online but there are far less offers there :(. I do expect there are some that aren't true O2 customers or those who can 'work it for more codes' getting stuff but that's the way of the world.

    Couldn't agree more!!!

I'm also a genuine paying O2 customer. Unfortunately, there's always going to be the greedy minority that ruin it for everyone else!

It wouldn't surprise me if O2 pull the plug on priority moments.

I'd like to think they'd find a way round it than just stopping it - perhaps sending an exclusive code to enter into the app on your monthly bill/when you top up?

I'm a bit confused. Until last month I had a Windows phone and had the app.

I'm with O2 and had no problems with the app, infact it was easier to use than on the current Android handset I had as if you selected an offer you weren't time limited- which worked well as quite often to save time you'd select the offer ahead of the purchase (it can take a long time once opting in for the code to appear on any handset) and you'd then get to the front of the queue and find the shop was all sold out.
On the Windows phones the offer code would remain saved into the app but on an Android it would delete the code and you wouldn't be able to opt in again.

I hope O2 doesn't stop the offer for the rest of us, the app really helped me out during Xmas when those little offers made all the difference and made my frugal existence appear far worse than it actually is! Hope those who are going all out to go against the rules don't spoil it for the rest of us, sadly though its exactly those people who don't seem to want to look at the bigger picture and realise the effect they have on others.

I'm confused now too :o:rotfl:, I couldn't find anywhere with the windows app it wasn't on the O2 page, some other members on here did say there was another way around getting it but DH didn't want to bother as he's not technical minded. As for non-02 customers getting the offers I thought you had to have an active sim to get them :o

I just went to the windows app shop (theres an app for that on the phone) and then just type in "priority moments" and downloaded the new app. It took me 2 minute and I'd not had a mobile for the best part of 3 years when I got my last phone and I had never had a smartphone or tablet or anything like that when I got my phone. It wasn't very technical at all and the only issue I had was my faulty handset which was very slow. If your struggling then maybe visit an O2 shop and they'll run through it for you I can recommend also the carphone warehouse who aren't too bad at doing all the technical stuff for you, then handing you back your phone- they seem to know their stuff anyway!
