Nokia 6600 sat nav issue
Evening Folks,
Hoping someone might be able to give me some advice. I recently sold a working Nokia 6600 with sat nav on ebay, but the buyer has complained it's not working and well it's now back in my possesion which I'm ok about now, but the sat nav tom tom software was working when the phone was sent off.
I am running Tom Tom 5.1 on the mobile, but can't get my gps reciever to work with the software just keep getting waiting for a valid GPS signal. I have checked to make sure the device is paired correctly in bluetooth connections and that is set up correctly. When I go on to Tom Tom to try and select use another GPS device it won't allow me to and I have a key showing next to the tom tom device showing locked with the pass code 0000.
Could this be my problem. The name of the GPS receiver is a cpit-GPS. Before the phone was sold the software worked fine, but it looks like someone has played around with the settings. Phone seems to work fine. Just wanting TOM TOM to work! Any ideas?

ive not used the same gps unit as you but you shouldnt need to pair it with the b.t as tomtom should sort the conection itself
are you sure the gps unit works ? and is this the same one that worked before or do you know that this model works with 6600?
is the gps unit showing it has a sat fix?
try doing a format on the phone (you may lose all data) and then put tomtom back in
to do this remove mem card and press and hold 3 keys; Green dial key, * Star key, no. 3 key on keypad and then press the power on/off to switch
Remember, do not let go the 3 press and hold keys until you see the word "formatting"
wait a few mins untill done0
