travel insurance non uk resident

I am english but live in egypt. I have a house in the UK. I want some worldwide travel insurance but Im not sure if I can use one of the UK based policies or whether I need some thing different? Can anyone help?

You will struggle as they normally ask that you are a permanent resident and registered with a local UK GP. I dont know any policies off the top of my head that don't require this. Given you are resident in Egypt are there no insurances from home that you can get?0

Try www.worldwideinsure.com or www.worldnomads.com for policies that start outside the UK.0
