Hi KIMY
Hope your well.
They refunded me exactly on the 28th day.;)
If you email them, you could ask them for an update.
Good luck and hope you get your money soon, fingers crossed. xx:)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Many thanks, what email address would you suggest

They are dealt with under the HSBC team for emails, and by using the one below, they pushed it to the relevant team, hopefully they will get back to you be the end of today, fingers crossed.
Its the CEO address- and using this one it was quicker.;)

Hi Di its over 28 days and still no refund have emailed and had a response stating they will investigate, l called also and was told it was supposedly BAC on the 9th November, but to be honest a BACS only takes 3 days so unsure if l believe them.
Let you know if any response.0 -
I emailed the CEO yesterday, I only sent my letter back just over a week ago, but thought worth a chase
I figure if it was the other way round, they would be ringing me everyday and hassling me.

Mine's over 28 days now.
In the offer letter they said 28 days by cheque and then they said they received my acceptance on 14th Oct after i'd sent it on 3rd.
On day 28th they said it's 28 working days and they received it on 10th Oct. They promised the cheque by the end of this week or beginning of next. That's well over 28 days, even working days.
The delay? They tried to go behind my back and pay the refund into my loan account. The terms of the settlement (on which i accepted) was payment by cheque because i don't owe them anything on the credit card. Though this was authorised by a senior manager, the PPI team said he should not have done this.
They went behind my back for my default charges refund as well (offered me a cheque then didn't pay it) and in that case I lost the whole refund. The FOS let them keep it but that's a long story and they still owe me a few hundred from it (I didn't accept the FOS decision).
I'm waiting ....0 -
tifo, sorry to hear this.
I really would like the £ before Christmas.
Did you send your acceptance recorded? Also my acceptance letter didn't mention cheque, only gave boxes for bank details for bacs transfer.0 -

They agree my acceptance was received by them, whether 10th or 14th so it makes no difference now.
What annoys me is that they then wanted to pay the refund into my loan account AFTER they offer to pay me by cheque and I agreed on that term.
Knowing what they did before, I asked them to confirm that payment would be by cheque. But if they chose to pay to my loan account and I took it to the FOS, I would lose because the FOS isn't fair towards consumers and only does what the bank offers.0
