Tried again several times, still no go.

Maybe its capacity is inadequate, will try again round midnight.

It's just my opinion but I think people should have the good sense and common decency not to start posts headed Most of the regulars here are used to reading nonsense panic headlines but some people might be quite alarmed and upset at reading such headlines especially if they happen to money saved with them those particular institutions!

Indeed - I've reported the thread asking for the title to be modified.

OK I guess you are right and I am wrong (the first time this has ever been said by anyone on this site).

In that small rumours could possibly trip off avalanches the way things are. I was faintly alarmed myself.

Yes I had cookies enabled always. Simply login failure continues if accessed in normal way and now I think I know why. After 36h failure I have been able to access and enter my account using a proxy. Probably the reason for failure is that I am at present abroad, as often. Perhaps the site can only be accessed from within the UK? If so (and it wasn't so in the past and doesn't happen for any other bank or bs I deal with) then that is a vestige of old-fashioned provincialism impression, reminding me of the times when UK financial institutions used to divide the world into two parts, UK and Here Be Dragons.

Otherwise their site and service has been improved, but if you haven't been there for a time beware and write everything down because they have changed landscape: new usernames, new memorable words etc.
Sorry my posts so long - not time write shorter ones.
