Same here as Milarky. All my passbook Regular Savers with them, and I've had a few (!), have matured into the esaver and been available for immediate BACS transfer.

    HTH

Same here. I've been impressed with the Principality so far & would recommend them for their customer service.

I had a regular saver maturing & asked them to transfer it into my esaver (this was before I'd had the letter asking me what I'd like to do on maturity :D ). They then pointed out that they had a new esaver paying a higher rate of interest than my account & would I like to open one & then transfer the maturing saver into that account? This was duly done quickly & account numbers were kept the same so I didn't need to alter any details for transferring money from my linked current account.

Will be even better when FP is introduced (as I'm always a bit last minute...)
& as for some happy ending I'd rather stay single & thin :D

Oh well Skipton certainly never offered me the BACS facility and I had to accept a cheque yesterday following maturity of an account. Having been a saver for around 10 years or so with them I've never had a BACS payment from them. I'll need to check that out as I have another account due to mature soon.

Likewise Northern Rock-always been cheque payments. Strange

There is not a run on them then, no problems?

Has anyone else tried to log on to their site in the last 24h? Yesterday and today I have found it impossible. Anyone else?
Sorry my posts so long - not time write shorter ones.

    Works fine for me.
Are you using the correct username - didn't they change them a few months back to be "Pxxxxxxxxx"?

This same post seems to pop up every couple of months, regarding the Principality - always "I had problems with some transaction - anyone heard of a run?"

I suspect a troll with some kind of grudge.

I came here having encountered the problem, looked up Principality, saw this thread.

If I had a grudge they should welcome more people with a grudge like me considering the money I have left with them over some years.

I wish them well but that does not stop me noticing they have been a bit backwards, e.g. in keeping only cumbersome passbooks and postal communication when others had switched over to online. They have only just now made it possible to view all your accounts online. But I am not able to do so, www.principality.co.uk/ (is that right?) is not obtainable or times out for me while I am not having this problem with other sites and have used three browsers for more than 24h now. When this happens I think it is OK they are aware, it is slightly publicised and known.

As per my earlier post, there are no problems with http://www.principality.co.uk/

In fact, I don't recall ever having a problem with their website

It's just my opinion but I think people should have the good sense and common decency not to start posts headed
Run on ******* Building society or Bank!
Most of the regulars here are used to reading nonsense panic headlines but some people might be quite alarmed and upset at reading such headlines especially if they happen to money saved with them those particular institutions!

Indeed - I've reported the thread asking for the title to be modified.

Take the money and buy silver

That should get the thread deleted, job done

I'm not impressed with them. I recently had a fixed rate bond mature and had to accept the proceeds by cheque as they were charging £25 for a bacs transfer.

They seemed to be making it difficult to withdraw rather than roll over for another fixed rate bond.

They have always been difficult, al bs were like this one time and they are just old fashioned

Tried again several times, still no go.

Maybe its capacity is inadequate, will try again round midnight.
