What to do for christening? Advice please

-
churches usually have halls or somesuch and are more than happy to hire them for christenings. a simple buffet is sufficient (some people have a christening cake, but its actually traditional for the top tier of the wedding cake to be used!)
20 or so people can be accomodated in even a small terraced house if you do a buffet and are careful of the placement of food and seating. If the grandparents have a larger house perhaps they may be delighted to 'host' the party if you promise to do all the work!0
