    Sure. If you say so.
I hope he has the good sense to stay away from this quagmire of a thread; I really do not see the point of much of what has been posted here - including some of my own verbiage.
I am sure that everyone who comes out with the "He's lazy" bull-c**p feels sooooooo much better about themselves.
    Yuk.

GotToChange - Have you read his other posts?

He wrote one recently questioning whether he should work hard on a work trial, as he didn't want them to expect him to work hard if he actually got the job.

Pretty much the definition of lazy.

    Photogenic
I usually get a 15min paid tea break in the morning to and an unofficial but recognised one in the afternoon which I usually work though but have a coffee.

No - because I cba to go looking for posts from an individual (it has happened to me and been used against me before now), even if I can in the end be called foolish. It seems to me that the only occasions where and when this happens are when people want to evidence-gather to either hurl at at someone or to speak about the poster in the third person to garner back-up.
I repeat, I find it pathetic.

Along with back-slapping (thankyouthankyouthankyou), bragging and their ugly sibling, smug complacency.

However bad the OP may look (or even be, according to most contributors to this thread), it is matched/overshadowed by the behaviour of those who long since stopped actually replying but rather lost themselves in a miasma of putdowns.

    Again; ugh.

    Oh no.

You could have asked more specifically, "How many of you work "for nothing"/incredibly low pay*.......?"

The martyrs/superpeople/holier-than-thous will all post specific details of their routines at the same time as slagging off the OP.

    Predictable.

Okay, how many hours do you work?
Do you sit at a desk all day or do manual labour? :D

Certainly not a martyr etc..... I was just curious because there were a lot jumping on the bandwagon saying you shouldn't have a break or something to eat. blah blah blah....

I kinda got bored with it all and missed the post about the 08.00 -13.00 working time. So with that in mind I do agree that expecting a lunch hour would be asking a bit too much but.... there is nothing wrong with a 15 minute break for a cuppa.

    Not that it matters and has little to no bearing on the OP's situation (although I mentioned an almost comparable scenario upthread);

I work three not-quite-full days per week in an office environment where breaks are allowed and no pay is deducted.
I work two evenings each week and two weekend days when I am paid on a freelance basis by the client/customer/pupil (riding instructor).

I have a question because I am really curious to know.....

All the people who have posted replies on this thread, how many of you have a lunch/break and/or something to eat?

Every single day without fail:D...and every single day without fail I make sure I eat some lunch...

Frankly - if I DIDNT have my lunch/lunchbreak - then I doubt whether I would be either "use nor ornament" to my employer in the afternoon - as I'd be so preoccupied with my empty stomach growling at me and an afternoon "dip" in energy.

I haven't replied on here but in all the jobs I have had in the last 20 years I have always had 1 hour for lunch without fail. No tea break as I worked in an office but we had to eat at our desk if we didn't go out.

Before you go to work, have a decent breakfast - porridge and some fruit. That's cheap enough and will sustain your blood sugar levels for the 5 hours you are working!

That's not true for everyone. I also have problems with my blood sugar if I don't eat for hours. I end up with a migraine, sweating, pale, vomiting. My dr says you should not go more than about 3 hours without at least a snack.

I have porridge and fruit and sometimes toast for breakfast but it is not enough to stop me feeling ill if I don't eat for 5 hours
