Probably not the right place to ask.
Has anyone tried there 30 day FREE trial and then cancelled. Just wondering how easy they are to cancel, as got a free 30 trial and £20 amazon voucher offer through the door today.
Might be worth getting a FREE film to watch and £20 voucher.
Thanks for any replies

They are fine to cancel, you can cancel online. I've just cancelled 5 days before my free trial ran out and as long as the discs are back before the end of the trial would have been there is no problem. I emailed to ask when to expect the lovefilm voucher and then it magically appeared in my inbox0

For some reason I only had the option to phone them and, although she did try to convince me to just put my account on hold, or take a cheaper package, my cancellation was accepted fairly easily. I just stuck to my guns and said I wanted to cancel.0

Hi when I followed the link to cancel the result was a "we dont want to lose you please phone to cancel" message.
It is wise to clear your wish list and allow plenty of time for your last disk to get back to them.
When you phone they have an answer to any complaint, ie they will offer you more or less films per month or more or less expensive subscriptions, you get the idea.
They will eventually give up and close your account, you get a confirmation email and the offer to reactivate the account if you ever want to.
I got my Amazon voucher very quickly once the trial had started and its actually a pretty good service if you watch DVDs at home so go ahead and get paid to try!0 -
you can stay up until midnight (maybe an hour earlier) and cancel on their website, because their phone people are off work by then.0

I had a 30 day LoveFilm trial 2 years ago. I cancelled my account before the 30 day end although I can still log in with my details and there is a link to reactivate my account. Is there a way to totally delete my account so my home address isn't on there? Card details on there are old so that doesn't matter.0

I got that offer too but I tore it up as I remember bad stories about trying to cancel. I would suggest googleing it really see what outs there about the cancellation.
edit: yeh theres some horror stories out there of people not being able to cancel1,2 & 5p: Christmas day food £9.31
10 & 20p: misc savings £2.70
50p: Christmas presents £3.50
£2: holidays £2.000 -
I've never had an issue cancelling and i've had loads of trials with lovefilm, blockbuster etc etc, sometimes you do have to ring them but as I have hearing problems I just email and say I can't phone you because of my hearing, please action the cancellation. Though has been said if you cancel at night it just goes through.0

remember you have to return it first. make sure when you return it you clear all items from your list so they don't sneaky send another one out0
