Aw Rising. I love black labs. Had several. Ex currently has a chocolate lab boy who is very cute. (The dog - not the ex!).
Rotten luck about the cloning (or whatever).
Try not to dwell on it or blame yourself. I've been cloned (or whatever) 3 times and although a serious pain in the a**e, usually gets resolved eventually and no explanation ever given as to who/how it happened.
Additional problem for you with the cash flow at present tho - sympathies.
Sure your labby friend will be able to cheer you up tho'.

I have a QH on my quote, so when I buy it I will make sure I keep that very safe, Thank You
I've been terrible, eating out of the freezer has cut our shop from £200 to £100, and this week I have spent £20 on 'treats' because I am so bored eating out of the freezer and cupboards!!
I suppose I am still £80 up, but thats got to re-stock my freezer and cupboards when I move! How do I stop myself spending it because I see it as 'spare cash'????
I have decided that I should eat out of the freezer and cupboards at least once a year if I can free up this much money...We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. Hi all,
This is my first post on MSE but hoping I am in the right place to ask this question.
I am on course to becoming Debt Free after 10 years of accrued University (and other) debts. I have been very fortunate to get into this position and cannot wait until that last debt payment is made. Like many of you, I couldn't have done it without the help and advice from MSE and Martin Lewis.
My question is this: When I become Debt Free, how long will it be until my credit rating improves?
Hope you can help!!!0 -
Rising YAY! Good news on the dog (not sure how I missed your whole post last time I was online, i'm sure it wasn't there!)
Ref CC I am pleased they picked it up so fast. I do admit that if I pay on the CC then I set the money aside right away so it's always there. This means if you need to pay by dabit card the money is already in the bank. Maybe in a few years once you got all your pots paying yearly you could do this too??
Mort Sorry to hear about your Father in Law, I hope he get's better soon. I hope the dog does too!
All good news, the paperwork has finally filtered through the lawyers and the searches are done! I'm not sure what the next step is... but I feel like i'm getting somewhere at last!
The owner is leaving the dishwasher (it's an old slimline one, but it's great because it means I can route the money I already had for a new one into something else, like the garden, and buy a new one later when the savings is healthier)
I am still waiting on the floorplans though!
I really hope the move happens before the holiday at the end of July, as DH might be going away to US for a few weeks when we get back (I bet they don't pay us extra for it either!)
Although it looks like they will refund us the cost of the removals
Anyway, I'd best be off...
Hope everyone has a moneysaving weekend xWe spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240 -

Hi steophonic01. I see you have started your own thread on this subject and you are getting some answers.
Not sure myself how long it will take. I have defaults which will be around for a few more years, it depends upon a number of things like amount requested and lenders policies.Proud to have dealt with my debts, became debt free on 03/11/2011. Repaid £54,723.41 LBM May 2006.

Ohhhhh Mort, what a week - hope FIL is on the mend soon and poor dog too, I know a few people whose dogs have needed CL surgery (seems to be a much more common problem than it was a few years ago - or is it just that they can now fix it?) and they've all healed really well so fingers crossed.JulieGeorgiana wrote: »Rising YAY! Yup, once the pots are up to date and I've got the hang of budgeting (if that's ever :rotfl:) I will be putting money from the pots to the main account as it's spent - this is what I tried to do last month and got me in such a muddleso I've a way to go yet!

Happy to report both FIL and dog are doing well, FIL is talking to me dog is ignoring me.
As far as the dog is concerned this is normal. I always get the job of taking the pet to the vet. Mrs. Mort comes along for the rescue mission, I get ignored for a day or so while Mrs. Mort is the best thing since canned dog food. Three dogs over the years and it's the same every time.
The dog has done his cruciate ligament so will be going back in after a couple of weeks.Proud to have dealt with my debts, became debt free on 03/11/2011. Repaid £54,723.41 LBM May 2006.

Hi All
Sorry to hear about dog & FIL Mort - hope all well soon.
Rising - I had a lurk on your diary thread - beautiful pic & love Maisie for her forum name
Hope you are all having a good bank holiday weekend. It has been quiet here, painted the ensuite, but using a pot of paint from the old house so nil cost to me
Yesterday we took a trip out to Crosby to see the Antony Gormley sculptures on the beach, I got the tide times a bit wrong so most were submerged but was a lovely trip and after 2 hours walking on soft sand we were both shattered last night.
Today I have to knuckle down and get some study done after slacking off yesterday, hence I'm posting on here again :rotfl:
SOT xDebt Free since Nov 11 (ish) (except the £118000 mortgage) as at Jan 2013 but still hanging around DFW as I need to Stay On Track.
