Tescos Internet shopping

Is it me as the unluckiest internet shopper ever, or do others find they are calling EVERY week due to really short (1 day) shelf lives, split packs, substitutes costing double, notes not being read?

To be honest we have only had one problem with a Tesco delivery and that was easily sorted by sending the rejected substitute items back with the driver. We have found the drivers brilliant and the quality of the items we have received are great though by some of the complaints I think that we must be lucky with ours!Weight Loss - 102lb0

My mum ordered some bananas and as they ran out, they were substituted for a packet of shoe laces!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To be fair, this was right at the start of them doing internet shopping but it made us laugh!Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.0

I had my 1st online delivery from Tesco's before Christmas.......really couldn't cope with the thought of going to the supermarket christmas week so shopped online and got majority of it delivered 19th (apart from a few fresh bits i had to get closer to christmas day). I was very impressed with the service and products and also very impressed with the driver who straight away pointed out the substitute products and said I could refuse if I didn't want them......I knew they would be some subs as it was christmas afterall plus we don't have any exceptionally big Tescos in the area.
I will deffo use Tesco online again!0 -
I've used them twice. Once was good, the other a total disaster. The 2nd time I phoned and phoned and emailed hem time and time again. They only replied when I threatened to take them to court!!!
My parents have stopped using them due to squashed food, missing items, one day expiry on food items and late deliveries. They only ever got their order right on one lonely occasion!!0 -
Doh! hit the thanks instead of the quote button!
I write a note to say that I want a long(ish) sell by date on the products and if they come with only a couple of day's shelf life, I phone and they refund without any hassle.0 -
I've been using Tesco Online for quite a while now and generally speaking, they are pretty good. Sometimes the substitutions are truly mind boggling.....I wanted orange juice and I got a bottle of Jif oven cleaner... ..but on the whole, pretty good. I think it just depends on what dimwit you get running around the store picking out your shopping. No offence to anyone working there, but a few are dimwits, just by looking at some of the substitutions I have had!!A cloudy day is no match for a sunny disposition~ William Arthur Ward ~0

I use Tesco once or twice a month for last 2 years and they've been really really good. I've often had free samples from them and never had an issue with short dates. The only issue in what must be 30 deliveries was some smashed eggs. I called customer service to advise and they credited me back double for the problem.0

I've given up with Tesco home delivery after countless late deliveries, drivers getting lost, one refusing to drive down the lane to our house because it was "too small" (funny how all the others managed and so does the combine harvester, which isn't the smallest thing around) and one driver who insisted that as long as he delivered in the right time slot it didn't matter which day he actually delivered on!
Best substitution still has to be the orange kitchen cleaner replaced by a bag of satsumas closly followed byt the firelighter blocks replaced by a bottle of lighter fluid. Good job I knew not to pour that on the coal fire :eek:0
