LOL !! Some people really are funny! As if he said that! It was obviously used to make you feel like you HAD to help him get this money otherwise he'd loose his career, hopefully after a little while in the Navy he will have more integrity than to do something like that again! ... I'm glad you didnt just fall for that and you decided to find out if it was true first because it definately isnt true!

The other thing that your darling cousin hasn't told you is that he may have passed all the tests to join the navy but due to the defence cuts he's going to have rather a long wait (think years rather than months) to actually start training......plenty of time for him to actually save the money
