    Morning all,
Thank you so much for all Anniversary congrats and fingers crossed for the hosp app. We had a lovely evening with friends and then a great Indian meal. Hosp app went ok but Consultant wants to do more tests because when I was weighed they said I've lost another 3lbs since the last time they saw me so I'm waiting for another app.
Got lots to do today as we have 4 staying for the w/end. Bedrooms to vacume & dust. DH will do bathrooms, downstairs rooms to vac and dust, kitchen to swish, clean fridge out loads of ironing and having DGD at 1pm.
spicey tom soup simmering away, BM about to ping. I'll delv into the freezer and see what I've got stashed for dinner tonight.
BRAMBLE, So sorry to hear your sad news, try to enjoy your trip.
JACKIEG Congrats for your very clever MR G.
NIC Congratulations, you'll love being a Gran.

I went to the vet yesterday and was told my three year old Westie is overweight, so I got up 20 mins earlier to take her a longer walk. This is good for both of our physical healths but just realised I wont get a 'long lie' until well in to next week when my DH is off work for a couple of days!

Today I am stuck in waiting on our ASDA delivery - chose the cheapest delivery option so can come anytime before 6pm but that's fine with me. We don't drive, saves me having to struggle on the bus or fork out for a taxi. I have the post to look forward to too, really hoping I get my Tesco vouchers in today.

Weather wise here, we've had rain showers but skies are mainly blue and I've already seen two rainbows today - simple things that make you smile!!

    Hi everyone,

Didn't manage to get on at all yesterday as I was so busy. hopefully today will be a little calmer.

Big hugs to Bramble, you are really going through it at the moment.

Congratulations to JackieG's OH and to grandma-to-be Nic.

Sorry if I have missed anyone else and hugs to Lou, hope that things are getting better.

Today I am at work and then I have to get DD2 to and from guides, apart from that it is quite quiet.

I have got some fish out of the freezer for tea tonight so I will decide what to do with it when I get home.Hopefully my house will be spotless as my new cleaner starts today.

    Have a lovely day everyone.:)

    Morning all,

hugs and congratulations to you all as appropriate!

Another busy day at college yesterday. Am really enjoying it but just stressing already about how much there is to do. Still, it was my choice to take the course so now I just have to get on with it!

We had some good news yesterday, OH had a £734 PPI refund from Egg. We're still waiting on a couple of other claims so fingers v tightly crossed that there's some more where that came from. Part of me thinks it's a drop in the ocean compared to his total debt (over £15k!!) but it's definitely better than nothing.

OH has had a stinking cold for the past week and it just seems to be getting worse. Feel bad as have kicked him out into the spare room but I just don't have the time (or the inclination frankly!) to be ill. Keep following him around the house disinfecting things - he's getting paranoid now bless him.

Right, off to do some work. Have a good day all x.

    Morning everyone.
Weather looking dicey here so won't risk the washing I will hang it indoors. H gone back to work today although he's having to sit perched on the edge of a static chair at his desk. Not sure how he's going to cope with that for 7 hours
Plans are to take recycling, pay a bill as post office, loaf proving, clean kitchen and start a bit of ironing this afternoon. Need to sort out something for tea too.

Nic congrats Grandma to be :D wishing them a safe, healthy and happy pregnancy.

zippy happy birthday, have an excellent day :)
Tappers how long are you working these shift for? Any chance the DSs can lend a hand or do you not trust them?

Hugs all round and some spoons while we are at it.

Have a good day OS or not.

Just used an online benefit calculator. Think it was a waste of time as the figures they quote appear to be the stuff of fairy tales  rang Tax Office myself and got a more realistic and slightly depressing figure :rotfl:

Birthday greetings Zippychick. Hope you have a fab day. Havent posted for last couple of days, (TOM) but feeling much better today.
Its drizzling here:mad: but still so blooming mild. Just wish it would make its mind up.
Its half day AGAIN at boys school today, so they will all be home by 1pm. Andrew and ds3 are going snowbording tonight with a group of lads from 6th form , so wont be in for dinner, ds1 is working , ds4 and dd are the only 2 home so dinner will be freezer grabbit;).
Have been on the phone to the council , they keep changing the date for my bathroom to be gutted.:mad: Now have Monday next week as the date , fingers crossed . Also had to tell them that my down stairs toilet is leaking . They originally said that as we have a upstairs toilet it wouldnt be put down as a within 7 days order but a 28 day one:eek:. Then phoned me back to say they would be out this afternoon as there is a workman working at a house a few doors up from me.
So in until they have been and gone.
I was naughty yesterday, my friends hubby has just opened a tattoo studio in town and he drew me up a beautiful tattoo for my wrist in memory of my dad who passed away 31 years ago when I was 7. So went and had it done yesterday afternoon. Its a bit tender atm but I love it. its only about 2 inches square so not to big . I could cover it as and when needed if necessary.
Right off to grab a coffee and then am going to make a cherry and coconut cake as is ds4 favourite.
Have a good day all. Hugs and kisses for everyone.:)
