Vodafone Help

Hi everyone

Im looking to get a Iphone 4s on a 18 month contract with Vodafone and i was wondering if i would be allowed to upgrade after 12 months? people are telling me they offer 6 month early upgrades but does this count on Iphones? Im also 18 this month and im also wondering are Vodafone easy enough to pass credit checks on because people have said certain phone companies are easier than others? Has anyone managed to get a good deal from Vodafone like cheaper handset etc?

I don't see why iPhones can be an exception. And I don't understand why are you so eager to upgrade early before even starting. The earlier you upgrade the more costly it is for you.

I don't think that Vodafone is the easiest.

This someone certainly was not a new customer and the deal was not for iPhone 4S.

I want to upgrade in a years time because i get bored of phones easy and will want to upgrade to the new iphone when it arrives thats why im interested in Vodafone for the early upgrade. Well i know a new customer who has got the handset cheaper and i was talking to one of them people who chat on Vodafone site and they said to me that they will go through the order with me and at the end ill need to put a promotional code in to get the phone for free and i said i cant today because im not old enough and i just wanted to know if it was possible to strike a deal and they told me to come back when im 18 and they will sort something for me.

What are you going to do after another year when your contract is 6 months longer, say, 18+6=24?

Well by then i will have finished my college course and have a full time job so i would buy a handset outright and just place the sim in it.

You can always upgrade buy buying a SIM free phone but I suspect you mean a subsidised phone.

Unless you have a large monthly spend the answer is no, I'm on Vodafone paying £35 PCM and have an Iphone 4. My Early upgrade offer started at month 15.

I've 2 months to go on my 18 month contract. My early upgrade "deal" on a 4GS is exactly the same as Vodafones offer to a new customer. Gernerally there are no deals on iphones, They don't need to discount them to sell them, and Apple are rumoured to hold the prices at that set level, which is why the prices across network are similar.

You problem will be you have no credit history, Check that your on the electoral roll, if your not you will be hard pushed to get anything. Three are supposed to be the easier to get contract with but all compnaies take into considerate many factors so you can;t say exavtly what they may fail you on.

Before you commit yourself to £7/800 of contract and phone ask yourself can you pay it, Vodafone do not allow you to change tarrifs once you start a contract. A black mark for none or late payment ios not a good start to a credit file.

Ignore what "people say" - and I include Voda CS staff in that too.

Read the Voda terms and conditions - search with Google for "early upgrade" - do all you can to get anything written that you can keep. Even a confirmatory email from Voda would do.

Without that, the answer is "NO". Verbal assurances are worth nothing.

I also applaud the advice from gjchester and applaud(?) your optimism about the certainty of getting a job when you complete your college course. Reminds me of my positivity when I was 18, now adjusted by my many years' experience gained since then!!
