As others have said, you can cancel your order before the service starts without any charges, but the contract starts as soon as the service becomes active .

I am now awaiting responses from BT and wish to close this post until I recieve a response from them 08.11.201 I have now recieved satisfactory answers from BT and do not wish to continue this topic as and as their response contains personal information I am unable to discuss it further, Many thanks for all the contributions and info.0
