Wanted: PAYG sim with data, calls and texts for £5. Any ideas?

I'm looking for a PAYG sim for a light user with a data allowance of at least 250MB, ~50+ minutes and ~50+ texts included. Ideally I only want to have to top up in the region of £5 to get this.

Not asking for much, am I? :P

I'm passing on my old iPhone to my Dad, and I don't want him to get caught out by data charges. He uses very few minutes and texts at the moment, and only tops up every couple of months. PAYG is preferred as my parents travel outside the country for several months a year so I don't want them paying monthly for something they won't be using.

I've had a quick look around, but I can't see anything suitable. There always seems to be someone here that knows about some secret deal, so I thought it was worth an ask!

Thanks guys - all interesting options to look at. It's been so long since I looked for a phone I didn't even really know what to look for!

Another suggestion I came across and thought I would share - T-Mobile, £7.66 on a rolling contract gives 100 minutes, 100 texts and 500MB internet booster. TCB are offering £20 cashback on it too.

Switch it up to a 12 month contract and you get 300 minutes, 300 texts and the 500MB internet booster for the same price, but with £50 cashback.

I might just go ahead and get them a contract as a wee Christmas prezzie, it works out to be about £3.50 a month as long as the cashback tracks!
