Unlocking Phone help

Hi
got a BB Curve 8520 on a special deal in Asda (will be a Christmas gift), but is on TMobile so I guess it wont work on any other network, in which case it will need unlocking. Is it very difficult? Does anyone know how to do it for free at home?

What is the special Deal. Argos had them for £99 + £20 Top Up with £40 back in Argos vouchers + £10 of extra calls & texts

Yes I paid £70 for it (I prefer money savings rather than vouchers which I always forget to use)

Is the £70 an instore deal as I can't see it online? Was it one odd handset or is it a weekly deal or what? Thanks.
