My works (Tesco) stalling our chain!

I'm moving house & in a chain of 5!
I've had a mortgage with Nationwide for 10 years but they need a form stamped from my works (Tesco) who need to confirm my annual income!

They have not got back to Nationwide, in 4 weeks!
I am powerless to sort it my end as I've heard that the payroll is handled in India now.

Its just a form to have stamped for christ sake confirming my wage but I can see this now blowing up in my face.
Nationwide have had no luck in chasing Tesco and there's no wages dept at my place of work.

If anyone has any info to help me I would be very grateful.

I really don't want to lose out on our new house & I can't believe my P60 & top rate credit score was not enough for the Nationwide in the 1st place!

In these situations I believe an email to the CEO explaining your situation seems to work

    philip.clarke@uk.tesco.com

Its amazing how many CEOs dont know about things that affect thier staff and often they get resolved easily

So a calm email should do it

Don't you have a line manager or local HR officer?
  • If it's a full size Tesco store rather than a Tesco Express, they should have a local in-store HR manager.

Fire off a letter of concern, explaining the problem, that it's time sensitive, and that you need the situation resolved within the next couple of days or you'll need to escalate it.

If that doesn't work, escalate it to head office HR and copy the Store Manager.

And if that doesn't work, email the CEO as previously suggested.

Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

They should also allow you time off your shift to spend calling head office.

I wish you luck Tesco payroll take forwever to complete proof of income forms. we have to get these forms completed for legal aid purposes and clients have a hell of a job getting them back. given the urgency I would speak to the store manager first and if no joy escalate it higher.
