And you found this information where?
Nothing on their website that I can find and as it is a variable rate JISA then I wouldn't expect them to keep it going and introduce a new one, why would they?0 -
It's on the list here: https://www.coventrybuildingsociety.co.uk/consumer/savings-accounts/closed-accounts/childrens-accounts.htmlreg091 said:And you found this information where?

Perhaps they have kept it going for existing accountholders to stop people being annoyed and posting on MSE? Who knows?
Everyone needs something to believe in.

I am a little out of the loop. There are only 4 JISA's listed on MSE at the moment, what have I missed?

You haven't missed anything - those are the top 4 Junior ISAs available at the momentWeggieUK said:I am a little out of the loop. There are only 4 JISA's listed on MSE at the moment, what have I missed?
MSE just deal with the best rates - if you want a more complete list, you could try a site like moneyfacts...

Is a stocks and shares junior ISA a very bad idea? There is only top 4 cash ISAs listed0

MSE doesn't collate and publish full market listings, and just shows a small number of the best buys, so don't let that influence you!ticklemeellen said:Is a stocks and shares junior ISA a very bad idea? There is only top 4 cash ISAs listed
As to the fundamental decision of cash v S&S JISA, the main factor is the age of the child - if very young then S&S is highly likely to outperform cash in the 15+ years to maturity, whereas conversely a child of, say, 15 would probably benefit more from a cash one rather than subjecting the money to the fluctuations of investing over the short term.0 -
I've been invested in a L&G junior s&s isa for my daughter approx 6 months after she was born, always thought it was looking ok but recently after L&G sold it over to Fidelity its been dropping in value since the end of last year. I'm actually starting to get concerned and I'll be looking to speak to someone at Fidelity this week for some re-assurance, yep it could be the market downturn but I'm still looking for re-assurance from them...0

Depending on the age of your daughter, e.g. first couple of years of life, and if you are investing monthly, then you really should be grateful for the drop in prices in order that you can keep investing monthly at cheaper prices. In fact it would probably benefit your daughter for the markets to remain low / go lower for a number of years before continuing to grow again. It is the psychology of investing which causes people to make bad decisions (sell when investments fall / are low).Deleted_User said:I've been invested in a L&G junior s&s isa for my daughter approx 6 months after she was born, always thought it was looking ok but recently after L&G sold it over to Fidelity its been dropping in value since the end of last year. Obviously, if your daughter only has a couple of years to go before age 18 then the situation might be more concerning for you.Personal Responsibility - Sad but True

Anyone moved a Junior S&S ISA to a Junior Cash ISA?
Enquired about moving to Tesco to which they said a transfer would have to be from a Cash ISA but Vanguard don’t obviously do Cash ISA’s!(S&S ISA is 99% in cash).Cheers, Stu0
