HTC Wildfire S vs Desire S vs Sensation S
Hi guys, I had an HTC Hero for a couple of years and loved it. Looking for a new handset and compared to the iPhone and Samsung Galaxy the HTC's are bargains.
It seems the only real difference between the Wildfire and above models are the processors.
There are Wildfire S deals for as little as £8 (with cashback or £12 without). It would be about £16 for a Desire S. (24 month contracts)
Is it worth paying more and going for the Desire S or above or saving the money and taking the Wildfire S?

You can change either or both phones at the bottom.0 -
In terms of how the phone runs would there be a noticeable difference? Obviously the Desire will be a little slicker but do you really notice it enough to make it worth the extra money?0

I have a Wildfire S and although it does everything I want, the screen is too small.0

Well that's going to depend on whether you would benefit from the things the Desire S does better. The Desire S will be faster to operate, be able to play more graphically intensive games, have sharper text and show more on the screen, and run into fewer issues as far as running out of application storage space.
Essentially the UI will be just the same, but will be all round less enjoyable to use due to the factors above.0 -
I would not say £8 is justified for the Desire over the Wildfire S. The wildfire is quite nippy, the resolution is fine and its not slow and has flash and displays every web page correctly. The screen is frustrating though because its small.0

My wildfire is so slow that even though I've got 9 months left on contract I'm ditching it and buying a new phone. It's awful.:j little fire cracker born 5th November 2012 :j0

running the numbers it would be £8.75 for a Wildfire S or £14.19 for a Desire S on a T-Mobile cashback deal with affordablemobiles.
I'm sensing it's worth paying the money for the Desire rather...0
