Crashed my car but my renewal quote is cheaper than last year

As long as you declare the accident at renewal and ask them to confirm what they think your NCD is you should be fine. My quotes went down after two accidents (one fault/one non-fault) although that was only when I called up.Save £200 a month : [STRIKE]Oct[/STRIKE] Nov Dec Jan Feb Mar Apr0

So I phoned Churchill and they explained that there is a non-fault claim on my insurance and that means the 2 years ncb is still valid. Well I hit a guy from behind and I'm pretty sure it was my fault. He briefly asked me what happened because he couldn't see any further details about the claim, but I didn't want to get into it too much in case I shoot myself in the foot here.
Are their records just wrong? Am I lucky and in the clear to just let it renew? I'm tempted to get some other quotes but also a bit wary about filling the internet with details about my accident.
He obviously didn't put in a claim for the accident.
Not everyone does.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

It'll be more like
If you can't pay the increase when they want it you'll end up with a cancelled policy and have to declare that you had one cancelled, when trying to get another.
agree with scheming-gypsy,insurance companies will do/say anything to get out of paying for an accident so dont give them an open goal.counting down the time I got left.:beer:0 -

Especially if they are not insured!
If you had an old banger and someone went into the back of you at a very low speed would you claim?
If you claimed you risk your car being written off as repairing the damage could easily cost more than the car.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

The guy I hit was in a family looking car with his family, he said it was a company car and would have to tell the company and therefore the insurance to get it repaired. Come to think of it, when I phoned up to report the accident, they already had a lot of the details because his insurance company had already contacted mine.
Anyway, I'm just going to renew with Churchill and hope I never crash again! *touch wood*0
