I've just noticed I have big marks on the top of my feet and will probably have bruises tomorrow!! And I have very slim feet (usually can't wear Clarks because of this, but these ones are quite flat and when I tried them on I thought there were ok...), so it's not a question of shoes being too tight...

Can't you just loosen the buckle so it's not so tight...

I'm afraid not, the buckle doesn't do anything, it's for decorative purposes! :) there's an elastic band underneath... and anyway, the shoes are not tight at all (none of my shoes have ever in my life been tight), it's just a bad design I think.

I think Clarks may say 'It is not a bad design, it is designed for someone with that shaped foot, which yours are apparently not'...
  • I took faulty boots back after a couple of months, and not only did they give me a new pair, but also some cash back, as they were now reduced - now that's good customer service!

I went to the shop , explained what happened and they agreed to exchange the shoes, but not to a refund. I got a voucher with the value as they didn't have many models on this shop, will try to find something that fits in a bigger shop.

    So happy ending (sort of!)

To be honest that's more than they were obliged to do, so well done Clarks. :)

I agree, next time I make sure I walk for a while with any new shoes at home, and won't keep them if I notice anything similar to this.
