Google Chrome - Pro's/Con's, problems

Despite giving it several weeks' trial[no option after last question here, can't seem to rtn to IE no matter what], I really do not like google chrome.

Everything I start wings up with a yellow sub-heading saying I need to install some Plug-in. I hit the button to do so and it disappears. Has it therfore installed instantaneously or not? What on earth is it anyway?

I often get a Kill this/Wait black out page. What is this? It further says if I am getting this often, 'click here'. I do and nothing happens.

Further rant - I often need to highlight/colour or font change, embellish, illustrate etc. Previously, having keyed these, resultant changes showed ,allowing me to fine-tune in various ways as I wrote. Google chrome doesn't - it's total cauchemar, giving only the command symbols. This precludes my seeing seeing 'work in progress' as it were.

I dislike the loss of one-click tools at the top i.e printer, clear history.

I have since read that GC is greedy of ram - my computer was becoming v. slow and my endeavours to follow advice here last time HAS speeded things up, true, but somehow GC came along. Don't really know how and I can't get IE back, it seems.

Any ideas please - with thanks, as always.

Further rant about GC -
Closed e'th down just now, window by window - they load up along the top every time a new site, linky, ANYTHING is looked at, even when returning to a previous one.
Then started again, having realised I needed to look at Banking. It comes straight up with another yellow thing, saying not e'th was shut down properly, do I want to restore? To add to this annoyance, I hit Yes, but have spent ages trying to find this post, despite having subscribed to it. Clicked refresh/reload a number of times, it wasn't there. Finally returned to profile, hit Find posts and this is it.
This element - 'not e'th was shut down properly, do I want to restore?' arrives quite often.
I also dislike GC not enabling desktop ikons.

Please expand, what are you asking?
On my phone I am always having to get rid of the Opera thing for my inept online usage. Wish it wouldn't interrupt at every stage. Don't know what it is anyway.

This is caused by the Skype plug in. Remove it and end of problem.

I don't get what your problem is in the first paragraph; what 'work in progress' are you doing?

Chrome opens New 'Tabs' along the top for each webpage you want to visit - when you click 'New Tab' (the one with the + sign on the right) it offers a choice of previously-closed pages. Why is this a problem?

Anything and everything - whenever I type and want to do any of the things listed.

Thanyou giraffe69 - do I elect to Disable, Unisntall or merely Hide Button?

Can't really follow the OP so good, but personally I've not had any problems with chrome at all. Much better than IE.

No it doesn't, it reads 'Browse thousands of apps for google and chrome'. Below: 'Visit the Chrome Web Store' in a blue panel.
