LORN - Link Order Reference Number problem

finder
Hi
I am moving home to an area with unbundled services. I have contracted my home line with the post office. At the time of making this arrangemente the post office gave me a LORN number so that I could transfer my current broadband service with O2 to the new property on the same day the new post-office line becomes active. More info about LORN numbers from O2 here.
Now, I think I have done things properly. Requested the phone line, then the LORN number from the line provider (post-office) and then I have taken this LORN number to my broadband supplier O2. The problem is that O2 keeps saying that their systems dont recognize the number(that is, supposedly the number is invalid). When contacting the post-office with this information, they are adamant they are giving me the right number.
The house move can be done without this numbers, but if that is the case, I will not be able to transfer my broadband until the phone line is active. What that means is that I am going to be 5-10 days without broadband service.
The LORN number given by the post office has the right format, 10 digits; starts with CBJ followed by 7 numbers. My question(s) is, has anybody been in a similar situation? Has anybody been able to use this number successfully on a house move? Any suggestions as to what I could do?
Many thanks

LORN (otherwise known as simultaneous provide) is still a fledgling scheme and so prone to teething troubles (AFAIK). At a guess, I suspect that the O2 system is only setup to accept LORN codes provided by BT, so the code from the Post Office is not being recognised.0
