What goes with arrabiata pasta sauce

chorizo, or pancetta if you want to add meat, or even some sausages if you have any in. You could also try prawns if you wanted to try seafood, would go well with the chilli kick of the sauce.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Arrabiata is an option for those who want their pasta and tomato saucee with a kick; whilst it tends to be spicy it doesn't taste of a lot else. If served over plain pasta I would be inclined to mix in some gently fried minced garlic, and add some freshly chopped basil and mint to add a bit more flavour.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

well if we are taking traditional - pasta is served as a small course before your main course - then you would eat the meat and veg as a your main but with no carbs...
The traditonal pasta shape to serve with arrabiata is penne.People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

I really like egg with arrabiata sauce.
Either put the sauce into a oven proof dish or small sauce pan, make a small well and tip a raw egg into it. Warm the sauce on the stove or in an oven until the egg is cooked through.
Quite often I add some chorizo into the sauce at the beginning. When it's cooked I grate a bit of parmesan on top. I normally serve with home made potato wedges.

Tinned tuna is quite nice with it as well... Trust me, it does honestly!Light Bulb Moment 4th January 2009 :eek:Started DMP 1st April 2009 :ADMP mutual support thread member: 267 :j0

I would fry leeks (or onions at a push) until soft (very little oil). Add black olives (stoned and chopped). Add tin of tuna (drained).
Edit - just seen the above post re tuna
Freezes well too.
